Jamie calmly stepped up to Brock,
fully confident in her abilities after her conquering over
Mewtwo. "I accept your challenge for a Boulder Badge!"
Brock sat Indian-style, arms crossed. "Very well.
This will be a two-on-two Pokémon battle."
"Suits me just fine. Magmar, I choose you!"
"It's time, Geodude!"
Both trainer and gym leader threw their respective
Pokéballs into the ring, and their respective Pokémon came out
for battle.
"Mag Magmar!"
"Geo! Dude!"
"Geodude, use your Rock Throw!"
"Magmar, Leer attack!"
Magmar's eyes lit up, dropping Geodude's ability to defend
itself. But the strong rock Pokémon shrugged it off, and rocks
flew from the floor, battering Magmar relentlessly.
Now Jamie began to perspirate. "Hang in there,
Magmar! Use the Ember!" Slowly recovering from the
assault, Magmar opened its beak, and spewed a small flame at
Geodude. Needless to say, the flames did little to Geodude's
rock-hard skin.
Brock stared at Jamie. "Looks like you need a bit
more practice, miss," and he then turned to his Pokémon.
"Geodude, finish it!"
"Duuuude!" Magmar had little time to react
before it was pinned to the floor.
"Magmar, return!" The beam lanced at Magmar,
returning it to its Pokéball. As Jamie was thinking of
what to do next, the wall to the gym suddenly exploded, and guess
who appeared...
"So, thought you could get away that easily,
huh?" said James as he smelled a rose.
Jessie chimed in, "No one dares to interrupt the
motto of Team Rocket! "To protect the world from
devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!" "James!"
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!" chimed in their Meowth.
Jamie was not impressed. "You two are just
pathetic." "Hello again, Jamie," said
Jessie. "Still a fashion mockery, as usual?"
Tiki leapt in. "How do you know Jessie and James?"
"Like I said, I used to be part of Team Rocket. But
these two always messed up my projects."
James noted something. "What do you mean, 'used to
be'?" "It means that we can steal her Pokémon,
nitwit!" yelled Meowth. "Arbok, go!"
"Weezing, go!"
"Not if I have anything to say about it. Go
Magnemite!" "Arbok, Wrap attack!"
"Weezing, Sludge!"
"Magnemite, Thundershock!"
As Arbok and Weezing leapt at Magnemite, they were quickly
blasted back by Magnemite's shock attack.
Jamie smirked. "Arbok and Weezing, losers as
usual." Jessie was furious. "Oh, who cares!
Meowth, go steal her Pokémon!" "Who,
Meowth?" The Meowth wasn't particularly pleased about going
into a Pokémon battle. "My fur will get singed!"
James was as angry as Jessie. "Meowth, do what we
say!" Jamie, who was getting bored quickly, decided
to end it quickly. "Magnemite, Sonicboom."
"Mag Nem!" The tiny tornado smacked right into
Jessie, James, and their significant others, knocking them back
through the hole they blew through the wall.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again...
again!" Brock, who had been sitting silent during the
battle, suddenly got up and turned to Jamie. "That was very
impressive. And even though anyone could beat those two, your
skill in battle makes you more than deserving of the Boulder
Badge."
Jamie gratefully took the badge from Brock, and pinned it
on her vest next to the Volcano Badge.
Brock then faced the rest of the Anti-Mewtwo Crew.
"All right, who's next?"
