Heh, excellent choice. *Circe locates and gives Goldie two more potions before returning to the counter.* Now then, all that together will be $75. How will you be paying today?

*Goldie waves, then exits the store. A flash of chaos energy can be seen out the window as she disappears from the physical plane.*

Cynth: *whiskers twitch* Wait, did she just say...?

That she wants me to pass a message to Callous? *Circe nods.* Sounds like Goldie's tied to that invitation she got.

Cynth: Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone like her shows up, doesn't that mean that something big is in the works? I mean, she did help open the Mungojerrie the last time she was here.

Hm, could be. Though I don't imagine it'll be another restaurant this time...

Cynth: Whatever it is, I don't see much point to it. Aside from you, the wolf boy, and the fuzzface, Muffinville's major names are pretty much gone from town.

*Circe sighs.* Don't remind me... But yeah. Whatever they're doing, I'd assume they think it's worthwhile...

*Before Cynth can answer, Callista (human) blitzes into the store at full throttle. Screaming like a lunatic the entire time, she scoops up an armful of goods---ranging from a sentient doll to several one-use tomes to a handful of stuffed toys---then rushes the counter and slams $400 onto it.*

EEEEE--- *gasp, gasp, deep breath* SCREEEEEEEEEEE---

*Callista immediately bolts out of the store, not bothering with any pleasantries. As she leaves, Circe might notice that the shopaholic's posterior seems to be on fire. Already, several staffers that were on hand are making sure everything's alright, though since there aren't any alarms blaring or water sprinklers going off, it's not much of a problem.*

Cynth: ...So. Bet you $1 and a few Planters that someone's going to die?

Seems pretty likely to me... *Circe quickly counts up the money to make sure it adds up to what Callista took before filing it away.* The real question is how many, and if Callista's going to accidentally blow herself up with them...

Cynth: I'm going to say 'five' and 'yes' to those questions. *nibbles on a sunflower seed* There's a betting pool with some of the maids as to how she'll will end up dying. Doris Sturm won the last one with "accidentally drank own 'Sweet Lightning' Mountain Dew while hurled across town by rampaging invincible goat".
