Circe's Manor THE NEXT

"Hmm, Circe is in her bedroom... Maybe she is still sleeping?", Dan turns to Marie, not sure if they should go upstairs to check out or wait until she got out of her room. "Should we go see if she is awake already?"

Marie nodnods. "If we go near her door I can just listen for whether Mistress is awake or not without actually disturbing her!" she says excitedly.

Dan smiles at the suggestion, "Great idea, just a quiet check-up. And if she is already awake it'll just show how committed we are." He raises his hand, slightly with the idea to pat Marie on the head, given her dog-like nature, but then stops himself and retreats it, thinking how awkward and even disrespectful it might look if he did that.
He starts to follow the map to the stair or elevator or something to get them to the next floor. Finding Circe room was a decent enough excuse to explore the manor some more.

It could go without saying, Marie follows Dan along; since he's using the map she takes advantage of not having to to look out for tripping hazards or people he might run into while not paying enough attention. Just in case.

*Dan should have little difficulty finding the stairs. As for Marie, they do pass a few people who wave or say "hi", but any collisions are easily avoided, and the floors are generally clear of items to trip on.*

Going up the stairs and then back to walking in the hallways, Dan checks the map again to figure out, which door would be of Circe's room. "I think... it should be that one..?" He mumbles a bit, vaguely pointing to a door.

"Okay.." Marie stands next to Dan, a respectable distance away from the bedroom door. Her ears twitch and point toward the door as she concentrates on listening to what's inside, for sounds of either wakeful motion or sleep.

Dan meanwhile looks around the hallways curious what all the other rooms were next to his teacher's. Did anyone have a room next to her or were they all private and only for Circe to use?
After observing and pondering for a bit, he whispers to ask Marie,"And..? Did you hear anything yet?"

*Sure enough, this appears to be the room. Listening closely, Marie hears what seems to be the sounds of someone typing at a computer. And from what Dan can see, there are other rooms around, but their doors seem slightly further from Circe's than average.*

"Oh, I hear typing! Mistress must be awake, then. Would you like me to knock on the door for you?" says Marie, already starting to move toward the door to do that.

"Ehh, s-should we? I mean.. m-maybe they are busy?...", he whispers softly as the dog-like-maid already started moving forward... Hesitantly he follows, hoping this wasn't a bad idea, as Circe didn't seem like a person you'd want to annoy or disturb.

Marie...knocks! Seemingly missing out on Dan's nervousness. It's a soft, polite sort of knock a person could choose to ignore if they wanted to, but still quite audible.

*The typing stops, and Dan and Marie hear Circe's voice from the other side of the door.* Who is it?

"It's Marie, mistress," the maid says cheerfully. "I brought your new student up to see you."

Dan nervously steps in next to Marie by the door and says, "J-just wanted to check if you were up already and umm.. to show I'm an eager student..." Midway he trailed off as this might not sound like a good reason to disturb someone after thinking about it. "I mean.. umm.. good morning?"
