Circe's Manor THE NEXT

Dan takes it as an invitation regardless; so he follows, mostly looking at the map to make extra sure they were going the right way, "Ah yes, there it is... I think."

*Indeed, a door with the same mark is not too far from the dining room. Does Marie dare open it!?*

Marie opens the door and takes a look inside!

*Within, Marie indeed discovers a moderately sized storage closet! She sees all sorts of stuff in various containers, cleaning supplies and the like, but also a pair of boxes labeled "maps" and "phones".*

Looking from behind Marie, Dan speaks up, "Umm, come to think of it, do we have to let anyone higher-up know that we taking stuff there? Are we even allowed to just grab whatever in here?"
Then he goes examine the map he had some more, to see if he could find the Harrison kids on it, while Marie keeps herself busy with the storage closet.

"It's for my job, after all," says Marie. "I can't serve mistress well at all if I'm too busy being lost!" She goes over to those labeled boxes, trying to be careful of everything else along the way...except that when she tries to dig a phone and map out of the boxes, her tail wagging behind her catches a few containers and starts bumping them off-balance, some threatening to fall.

"Hmm, I can't see them anywhere here.. guess they might have already left....", Dan says what disappointed. Turning back to the dog-maid, he gives a concerned look at the unstable containers behind her. "Erm, M-Marrie... careful.. your tail..", he says while carefully getting closer to maybe prevent some of the boxes from tumbling over.

She gets out a map and phone, and stands full up and turns around before noticing the trouble. "..Oh! Sorry..eep, lookout!" Some combination of her clumsiness and the shelves rattling around has knocked loose an open jar of planberry jelly someone irresponsibly left on one of the upper shelves. The maid reaches out to catch the jar but will definitely be too late; her warning, however, may be enough for Dan to get out of the way.

Maybe a good thing Dan was more careful than helpful when approaching, so he wasn't all too deep into the closet to assist the boxes. "Ah!", lucky for him the warning and his reflexes were enough to jump out of harm's way. Hopefully, no one was behind him though while he made the quick dash backward.

The maid actually catches the jar itself, but it's already upside-down so its contents splat on the floor anyway. Seems like everyone was lucky enough not to get that on them. She sniffs a couple of times and catches the scent of the color fruit before frowning at the jam. "Ugh, what was that even doing in here in the first place? Mistress couldn't possibly be happy with something that dangerous in a normal storage closet!" She looks around for a mop or something to get the jelly off the floor, while setting the mostly-empty jar on a shelf--deep in on a lower shelf, where it won't have a chance to fall again so easily.

*Luckily, Marie has no problem locating a mop in the supply closet. Now it's just a matter of actually cleaning it up.*

"That.. that was close, thanks for the warning.", Dan says coming closer to inspect the mess. He was glad he dodged that, and when Marie said that it was dangerous it made him quite nervous. Why was some jelly dangerous? Maybe it was acidic or maybe it was an alien slime that would have crept into his brain! "Erm.. careful then.. if.. it's dangerous. Ah, also, I wanted to tell you that after inspecting the map properly, I think my friends have already left, so no need for that search anymore. Should we maybe go find Circe..--", looking at the maid busy with the cleaning, "... after this?"

Marie gets to work cleaning up the jelly, mopping it up and getting it all into a bucket until the floor is sparkly clean. It doesn't take her very long, so--at least she's a decent maid where this sort of thing is concerned. "Sure!" she says, putting the cleaning stuff away and retrieving the map she just got from a pocket on her apron to see where her Mistress might happen to be at the moment...

Dan took his own map, he might as well check if he could spot Circe on the map too. Everyone was getting breakfast, so it would make sense that most people in the manor were around here, though maybe some people didn't eat here, there could still be more kitchens and dining halls around, maybe, because the manor was so huge. Or maybe Circe only ate food when she felt like it but wasn't required to it anymore? So many questions Dan starts to ponder up.

*A moment's search reveals to Marie and Dan that while there are other places to eat in the manor, Circe is not in any of them. Rather, she appears to be in her bedroom, on the floor above them. It shouldn't be too hard to get there...*
