Circe's Manor THE NEXT

"Ah, uuhh I see... I don't think I'll know my way from here to my room on my own without a map... Though I don't really have a strong nose either", Dan makes a loud sniff to accentuate.
Pondering a bit as he eats some more. "Well, after we are done with breakfast, I might need your nose to umm... find some feline friends of mine. Erm... you don't have this 'dog and cat'-thing going on..were you have urges to chase them, do you?", he asks softly, not to try to sound rude.. just careful.

Marie giggles, and points to the nearest catgirl-maid in the dining area, probably not more than a couple of yards off. And then to another one, and another. "If I chased after every cat-person I saw, I'd never get anything done! Just plain cats, though...I might be tempted, b-but I can control myself if I need to!" More food from the pile into her.

"Ah.. good to hear...", oh well, cat-chasing aside hopefully that dog behavior wouldn't result in awkward face-licking or anything either, maybe he better shouldn't ask though, might give her ideas.
Meanwhile, he continues and finishes his oatmeal and glass of milk; breakfast was done, ready to start the day~

Marie's appetite seems insatiable; as long as Dan doesn't interrupt her she seems to continue to make steady progress on the mountain of sweets until it's a hill...and eventually it'll be a plain--er, an empty plate rather.

Dan just continues to wait until the dog-maid.. was finished with her meal, she looked quite hungry eating at that rate with barely any pauses. Taking the time to examine her features a bit more, she looked partly like a dog, but also had feathers for some reason and her shoes.. well unsure if those were shoes either, were kind of strange too... Better not ask about it though, he didn't want to risk offending her or anything.

It doesn't take her all that long to finish eating. But her airheadedness prevails again, and she starts to take Dan's dishes to stack on hers and go to the kitchen with them to clean up..!

"Oh... Ah, wait~" he responds as he finally pics up she is leaving with the dishes, though this was partly her task as a maid.. she gets paid to do these things.. "Umm.. I...", looking around, he thinks, unsure if he should stay and wait for her to return or... well he might as well follow her to the kitchen, he wanted to explore that place too anyway and with that it would also make sure the dog-maid goes wander off somewhere else for who knows what reason.

Off to the kitchen they go! This author doesn't actually know the details but knowing the nature of Circe's manor in general it's probably a huge kitchen with a bunch of sinks and refrigerators and cabinets, and maids bustling all around it and stuff. Marie goes for an empty sink to rinse of the dishes and put them into one (of several?) dishwashers.

*Whatevr is more or less correct. I am nothing if not predictable... Anywho! One or two of the kitchen staff greet Marie as she comes in. One of them, a woman with devil horns and a tail, even attempts to strike up a conversation when she reaches the dishwasher!* Hey, you're that new girl, right?

*Dan may see this too, depending on how closely he's sticking to Marie.*

"Er...yep!" Marie nodnods. "Umm, was I supposed to get a phone or a map? I didn't find this place all that confusing to get around, but..."

Dan finally manages to catch up to Marie in the kitchen.. or well... close enough.. as he slowly backs away noticing the woman with the horns and tail... His demon-phobia kicking in; he didn't have to be in the kitchen that bad anyway... All he needs to know that the food is there and maids can go get it if he requests... no need to go anywhere near the demon-kind~~
Slowly turning around, hoping neither noticed him following Marie in. He was just going to go back into the dining hall for now...

Wait, seriously? *The demon maid looks amazed by Marie's claim.* Your first day, and you didn't have any trouble at all? ...You got some kinda built-in GPS or something?

"Weeelll....I just sorta, know where my room is, and I followed my nose here," Marie says, shrugging. "If you asked me about a room I've never been to I'd have to go looking for it!" Her focus seems too taken by this conversation to even notice that Dan was following her to begin with.

He sighs as he leaves the kitchen. Apparently, there were actual demons in the manor after all... Well at least only take-out from now on is always an option~ Dan considers while he was still in the dining hall, he might as well look for Eebon and Echo on his own, and if he can't find them maybe their sister Ellen knows where they are.
Dan starts looking around to see if he can find any of the Harrison kids~

OK, wow. That's still impressive, but I wouldn't wanna rely on your nose for everything. You're definitely gonna need a map. Next chance you get, you should check one of the supply closets for one.
