Sure, later. *And so Dan returns to his seat. And sure enough, it's not long before Dan's server returns with food!*

And here you go! A perfectly mundane bowl of oatmeal and glass of milk. *She sets the items on question on the table as she names them. Going into full waitress mode, she continues:* Can I get you anything else, sir?

He nods thankfully as the maid places the food on the table, "Ah thank you very much." Looking the bowl over, hoping not an eye or something pops out of it.
"W-Well..umm.. there is still one thing I'd like to ask of you..", oh dear this going to sound a bit creepy wouldn't it? "Can I.. know your name and maybe.. have your number?? I.. I'm new here and I'd like to have a list of trustworthy contacts.. if that is alright with you though?.."

*Nope, no eyeballs. No signs of anything else unusual, either. Dan's oatmeal appears to indeed be perfectly mundane. However, the maid seems to hesitate upon hearing his question.* Well, ah, I don't really like giving my number out casually. Maybe if we hung out more, or something... *Well, that didn't go as planned.* I-I can tell you my name, though! I'm Gloria...

"Ah.. yeah... Yes of course... W-we can hang out.. umm.. well.. when I have free-time between lessons and such... I'm Circe's new apprentice by the way; not sure how busy I'll get with that, heheh~...", oh well it was worth a try.
"Eh, nice to meet you, Gloria, I'm.. Dan... Thanks for the oatmeal.", taking a spoon and gives set oatmeal a quick taste.

*It tastes like perfectly ordinary oatmeal. Not bad oatmeal, by any means, but still just oatmeal.* Nice to meet you, Dan. Maybe I'll see you around... *Gloria walks away...*

Dan raises his hand a bit, to lightly wave, "B-Bye.."
Oh well, at least she was nice... Taking an other spoon of oatmeal, it might not be as fancy as what he ate yesterday at the party, but familiarity had it's value too.
Maybe he should take this alone-time to think what he was going to do today, likely best to visit Circe after breakfast maybe.. though maybe she'd prefer to notify him first when to come... Eh, he should try first, that way he'll show himself as an eager learner! Right after breakfast he should ask someone to where to find Circe~
Um, maybe after saying goodbye to Eebon too if he still sees her before she leaves. He takes a sip from the milk and continues eating.

Dan is approached by a dog-girl maid of some sort carrying a small plate with a very unstable mountain of sweets on it--danish, bear claw, donut, pop-tart, so on so forth--all topped with a couple of strips of bacon. "E-excuse me, may I join you sir?" she says, starting to put down the plate next to his place before even getting an answer for fear of losing some of the food.

He looks up, surprised that someone suddenly wanted to sit next to him, "Ah, y-yeah sure, be my guest..."
Unsure if he should comment on the amount of stacked food the maid carried.. that looked a bit much for breakfast.. "Um, hi I'm.. Dan; Circe's newest apprentice."

She manages to get the plate down without disaster. "Thank you! Oh, s-so you'd be my master too then, right?" she says excitedly, her tail starting to wag rapidly. She sits down facing him. "My name's Marie! I'm--uh, I guess I'm a new maid? It's a little fuzzy. B-but if there's anything you ever need don't hesitate to ask me, master!" As if to punctuate that, she scarfs down the bacon on top of the pile almost faster than the eye can follow.

"Well... I'm not sure how this whole rank or hierarchy thing works... Is a student of Circe higher in order than a maid?", not that he'd mind being called master by the maids, but he wasn't going to try to use power over people he wasn't sure he'd even have; besides the maids were helpful to anyone anyway, master or not wouldn't really matter it seems.

Dan waits a bit until the maid is done with the.. making food vanish, unsure if it was suitable to still call that 'eating 'at that point.... "Eh-erm.. well I'm collecting a few numbers of people here.. as.. emergency contacts, would you mind if I'd add yours too Marie?"

"Mrgfh." Marie has already started into the pile of sweets, and has to pause, chew, and swallow. "Uh, I dunno, I just guessed that master's the right thing to call you, at least unless something happens to make you another mistress. Apprentice before maids makes sense to me! And-ah..we get phones? I didn't really get whatever the normal orientation is for new maids when I showed up here," she says. "Actually I just woke up in a bedroom after some stuff happened somewhere else!" It's a little weird how okay she seems to be with that, maybe.

The blissful unaware Dan, oblivious to any of the transformative natures of this world (still), almost does a spit-take as he sips on his milk. Did that maid just say something about him as a mistress? Erm, maybe he just misheard her.. "Wait um--" the conversation changing to the phones, "Oh well... I don't really know what maids usually get and don't... did you at least get a map?" He shows Marie the map he got from Yoko as an example.

She leans slightly over to look at the map, her head slowly tilting slightly. "Hmmn...nope! I just followed my nose 'cause I was hungry. I have a good nose!" Maybe Marie is just a little airheaded overall...but still lucky, to have successfully found a specific place in this maze of a mansion.

"Hm, well following your nose is one way to get to the kitchen but what about the rest? Maybe we should ask around to get you a map too, so you'll have an easier time to get to know the place?", he smiles, being helpful; newbies should help each other out, shouldn't they?

"Maybe, yeah...I found my bedroom again last night after seeing Mistress Circe, though!" Marie then continues eating. Maybe it's just that thing about how dogs always seem to know their way home...?
