Eebon: The guest rooms are, sure. Some of the things in here, like those plush toys back there, are mine. The computer and other electronics technically belong to the Manor's staff, being more or less "donated".

Looking at the mentioned plushies, heheh cute. "It's very nice of them that they gave you so much free stuff then, guess you guys are the favorite guest here, hm?" he gives Eebon a teaseful wink.
Taking a chair and sitting down next to Eebon, watching the PC's monitor, "Oh, we have to make our own team?"

But yeah, with the exception of those available with the installation, teams are all custom-made. *sounding annoyed* I'll show you in a moment. For whatever reason, the online service the game's on likes to take its sweet time loading. Gaw.

Eebon: What I mean is that this web service "Steam" sells games both new and old, and that while all the data's here on the computer, I can't play the game unless I have an account of my own---which, obviously, I do. Gaw.
Aaaaand there we go. *clicks a few times, loading the game proper* Time to get this show on the road.

((OOC: And time for me to work on a tutorial video. :) Eebon will still reply to any questions that Dan gives her, but any game-related actions will be in the video itself.))

Eebon: Alright. First things first: to get a team of your own set up. There's a fair bit of customization available here... what we want to do first is decide on a team name. It can be anything you like, like it fitting a certain theme, being based on a favorite TV show or what have you. And then of course, you have to select eight names that you think would match that theme.

As an example, my default team is based around the Wii's Punch-Out and some of the boxers there. Gaw.

"A team name and eight names matching them.. cursed... I'm really bad with thinking up names..." Dan hums a little pondering what kind of theme to pick; TV shows, games, other hobbies, so many optional candidates... He considers maybe just taking something simple like... the planets of the solar system; even though they might not be the same in this dimension.
"How about the team name 'Solar Planets' and for the eight names, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune; does that work?"

A few other things we can do here. We're given different gravestones to choose from for when a worm dies... a sound bank for what your team sounds like... fanfare that plays on the Victory screen... and a flag that represents your team in-game. *demonstrates each, then proceeds to select one from each category* If you don't like these, we can always change these later. Gaw.

((OOC: Alright, I've taken some footage of the team-making process and Dan's first practice match. I'll see what I can do about getting them uploaded to YouTube later.))

Eebon: *as she finishes setting up and goes back to the main menu* Nice thing is, those aren't the only ones to choose from. With some creativity, it's possible to create your own custom voice packs, gravestones, et cetera and make your team truly your own. *shrugs* That's outside the scope of this right now, though. Gaw.

After Dan enthusiastically listening to Eebon's explanation of the different steps of team creation, he got curious how those things got translated into the game.

When the map was being set up he asks her what 'initial energy' was and what it was used for.
He let out a small chuckle as the map loaded and there were giant fruits on the battlefield, already accentuating the silliness of the game.
Considering the many options in movement, weapons and tool, the game looked a lot more in-depth than what one would assume at first sight; the ninja ropes seemed what difficult to handle he got the impression.
Venus's accidental grenade to blast Earth into the water was.. questionable... But not as questionable to what the creators were thinking of when they added an exploding sheep to the game~
Sadly the game ended in a drawn; even though it was after a nice double, but leading into triple kill by Venus.

"Ow, that was anticlimactic, ha ha" he laughs a bit.

*Amongst other things, Eebon takes time to provide additional details on the game.*

*First, 'initial energy' equates to how much each worm begins the match with.*

*Next, she tells him that while some of the playable maps are based on image files, the rest of them have their own tilesets and can be randomly generated, meaning that it's rare to play a game the same way twice in a row.*

*While trying to explain ninja ropes, Eebon rolls her eyes and mutters something about impossible first turns. If asked about it, she chuckles nervously and changes the subject.*

*The explosive sheep leads into the topic of weapons pickups. Most weapon schemes allow for more stuff available than were seen in this particular match. An example of which are Homing Pigeons, which have a limited---extra emphasis there---ability to fly around obstacles en route to a target.*

*Once the match ends, Eebon laughs weakly at how things went down.*

"Yeah I can see there can be a lot of strategy involved, but it's also a lot luck-based, so many random elements to consider, heheh". After looking at some post-game stats he asks, "So do you usually play this online against other people or do people usually take turns on the same computer; Or is this more a AI vs player based game?"
