Rob blinks as he undoes the tape holding the soaked cloth onto his chest. He looks down at his chest for a moment, curious to see what new annoying development the rash has for him before he looks for more cloth towels.

James can feel the cold metal press against her chest as she breathes. With each breath, the stethoscope touches a new spot. With each new spot, she can feel her breast depress underneath it. Half of the breathing tests are done on her back, leaving her chest to simply rise and fall naturally. It may stick out visibly, but it doesn't feel all that different... except for the continued throbbing and tightness.
"Well, your lungs sound healthy..." He takes the thermometer out. "And you don't have a fever. So..." He looks down at her chest. "When did all of this start?"

James... sighs... "Yesterday... evening, I guess. My chest started to feel sore... then it got all puffy and red... and... milk... started coming out of it." She says... "It just got worse from there. It dosent... hurt... really... it just feels... tight, and sore. That and I went from flat chested to this in less than a day..." She murmers... looking at her breasts...

Rob undoes the cloth to see a new development! His nipples seem to be sticking up from his chest... they looked... well... larger... as does the round puffy mounds of flesh beneath them.

Rob frowns and shakes his head again. Maybe that nap wasn't the best idea after all. He scouts through the kitchen, but this time is only able to find a single clean hand towel. He folds it longways across both nipples and uses the tape to secure it... in multiple directions. He tentatively cups his chest with both of his hands... telling himself it's to make sure the new tape is stable and snug.

"...Right." The doctor makes a couple of marks on his papers. "It sounds to me like you might have a bit of a hormone imbalance. That would explain the growth and the lactation. Are you on any medications? Have you had any thyroid or glandular problems before?" As he asks this, he glances down to James' pants. They form a hollow tent at her crotch, almost in mockery of the situation. "And... are you sure you're not female?"

James... turns red... but takes a deep breath... "Doctor... yesterday morning I was a normal guy. No problems at all. Last night I was a guy with a lactating chest and a cock and balls. This morning I woke up..." She swallows hard. "Without something between my legs that should have been there. Have you ever heard of anything like that. And... putting aside me being crazy or playing a prank... which I swear I'm not as far as I know... if you can't help me... can you at least refer me to someone?"

Rob cups his chest! He feels... the small mounds... they feel soft... a bit firm... and swollen with that milky stuff... Meanwhile the tape holds fast against his smooth, hairless chest!

Strange. Rob had never been able to cup his chest before. There just hadn't been enough to hold on to. He shakes his head... but doesn't let go. "This... is so many kinds of wrong..."

Doctor Ferris shakes his head. "No, I don't think I've ever heard of that. It doesn't even sound remotely possible. I'd be happy to give you a couple of references." He frowns some more. "A psychiatrist... and an obstetrician." He sets the papers down. "If you're really as concerned about your genitals as you sound, you'll want someone to make sure they're healthy. I could give you a quick checkup, but you'd really want to see a specialist to get a full bill of health... down there."

James... winces. She really didn't want him feeling around... she stares at her feet. "Fine... give me the numbers of those three or whatever."

Rob has just barely enough to hold onto now... but its something! As he does... over the course of the next few minutes he feels his nipples relax and shrink slightly. Though they are still slightly damp.

The doctor nods and pulls a few cards out of his shirt pocket. "Okay... here's the psychologist... the obstetritian... and I'd recommend finding yourself some undergarments that fit you better." He nods and gathers up his papers, writing a few more things on them. "Anything else?"

Rob lets go and just assumes the dampness is just more of the pus trying to leak out. But the towel helped with that before, so this one should as well. With the tape snugly and firmly in place, and the towel stretched across his front, he goes back into his room to put on another shirt.

James sighs... "You have my number... right? Could you... I don't know... ask around if anyone has heard of this happening before? I know its... probably asking too much. But I'm desperate to find some kind of answer..."

Rob gets another shirt on! Huh... was the mounds under it looking larger than before? Well... must be the new towel... right?

Doctor Ferris nods, and repeats James' number. "I'll see if I can find anyone who's heard of your... condition before. I can't promise anything, but you never know." He picks up the scarf... which has a pair of damp spots on it. "Try not to wear it quite so tight from here on out." But... she can remember when she first put the scarf on... it hadn't even been all that snug...

Rob waves it off again, figuring the towel was the culprit yet again. "What I need is something to keep my mind off of this stuff... He flops onto the couch and turns on some video games. Hopefully, he'll be too engrossed in the running and gunning to feel any weirdness on his chest.

James nods... taking the scarf and going to tie it around her chest... "Thank you, Doctor Ferris..." She says... looking rather downcast as she goes to put the shirt on...

Rob finds the game to be quite a good distraction! Shooting big guns, blowing things up, and having fun is always a good time.

James doesn't have quite as much material as before to tie the scarf on... but at least it isn't uncomfortably tight any longer. The doctor shakes his head and pats her on the shoulder. "You'll get through this. Don't give up, okay? The more you stand tall in the face of adversity, the better your outcome is." He gives her a smile and opens the door. "Good luck, young lady." And with that, he exits the room.

Unsurprisingly, Rob enjoys himself! With all the action on the screen he smiles as he's thoroughly distracted, and he plays for quite some time. As he plays, the only thing that really takes away from the game is the though that it would be funner with James to play with him.

James winces at his goodbye... but takes a deep breath... getting up and heading out... making his way back to the apartment and wondering how he would explain this to Rob.

Meanwhile... After quite a bit of fun playing... Rob hears the door opening! Huh... think of the devil! Must be James!

Rob pauses the game and stands up. He stretches his arms up over his head for a bit and heads towards the door. "James? Took you long enough... How was the doctor's?"

James finds herself back in the apartment, with Rob greeting her... along with what appears to be a somewhat puffy chest under his shirt. That means... not him too? Seeing her roommate's chest reminds her of her own... slightly larger, and still throbbing inside the scarf.
Rob squints his eyes. "Wait... you're not James. Who are you?"

James... facepalms... "Not you too, Rob..." She sighs... "I AM James... damnit." She reaches in her pocket... pulling out her wallet and tossing it to him. "At least thats what my drivers license says."

Rob blinks and catches the wallet. Sure enough, it has James' drivers license. "What? No way. I'd say you look kinda like him... but last time I checked, I wasn't rooming with a chick." He tosses the wallet back. "Are you his sister or something?"
