The Dairy Trap

[Knight Errant]

James smiles a bit. "You wanna do something? Help the poor sickie take his mind off of troubles?"

[muffinstud]

Rob shrugs. "Sure, why not? What do you have in mind?" He sits up straighter and sets the book on the floor.

[Knight Errant]

The boy pauses a bit. "Wanna fire up the Xbox and do some split screen FPS ownage?"

[muffinstud]

"Sure! I won't say no to an excuse to show you your place." He smirks and they start up the game! "And just to clarify, your place is last on the leaderboards."
And lo, they did play video games with much running and gunning! The noobs were smitten with great leetness, and the trash talk flowed like highly competitive honey.

A few hours later, Rob set down his controller and rubbed his stomach. "I think I might need a break. I really need some food." James would feel a bit peckish himself, and when the distraction of the video game was over, that scarf was feeling a bit too tight for comfort.

[Knight Errant]

James has a lot of fun being distracted from his problems! Sighing a bit as the controllers are finally set down. He gets up and stretches... frowning as the scarf feels... tight. "Um... sure. I can start dinner. You wanna help?"

[muffinstud]

Rob shrugs. "Sure. I was just going to fix up some ramen. What are you in the mood for?" He gets up and stretches as well. Aside from the tight scarf, James feels a little sore in the chest. It almost feels like it's throbbing against the fabric, like a sore thumb.

[Knight Errant]

James frowns a bit. "I thought we were going to make that nice dinner... but... unless you wanna wait on that?" He winces at the sore throbbing... trying to ignore it.

Rob snaps his fingers. "That's right, southern fried chicken! Sure, I'll help. I'll start on some of the veggies, how's that?" The throbbing in James' chest thankfully doesn't get any worse, but it doesn't get any better either. As he moves around, his pants feel a little tighter at the hip.

James nods... "Sure thing..." He moves onwards into the kitchen... going to start the dinner while tugging at his pants a little.

The preparation of dinner goes smoothly. His chest continues to throb and be a little sore, but otherwise James doesn't feel anything else abnormal. Rob hums to himself as he fixes up his part of dinner. "So, how's your rash? Any better?"

[Knight Errant]

James sighs a bit as he breads the chicken. "Not really... its... freaking weird." He says.. then puts it in a frying pan to brown. "I wish I knew how I got it."

[muffinstud]

Rob shrugs. "Point is moot now, isn't it? Maybe you can use some lotion or something to make it better." Cooking dinner goes as normally as one could expect. However, once the chicken is cooked and the sides are done, James can feel a slight pressure building in his chest. It feels just like it did just before it started leaking.

James winces a little at the feeling... and nods. "I'll take a look at it after dinner." He says... ignoring the feelings for now and setting the table. Time to have a good dinner and ignore weird things...

"Take a look at what?" Rob asks as he sits down.

Dinner... is delicious! It's tasty, and the aromas are enough to mostly keep his mind off of things. The slight throbbing continues through the dinner, and the sense of pressure builds slightly.

[Knight Errant]

"You know what, never mind. Not good table conversation." He says as he eats... Mmmm a nice meal... just enough to keep his mind off of it for now. Once its over... he sighs. "Right... thanks for the help, Rob. It was great." He says... before getting up to head for the bathroom to check on his chest.
