Raleigh's Fabrics

[Raleigh]

*Raleigh, displaced from the current events going on elsewhere, stands around a mannequin working what one can only assume to be pure spell threads into a business jacket designed of roiling shadows. It would seem tide and time wait for no one not even the timeless so he is already hard at work while he is being rescued. The question of whether that self needing help is past or future to his own perceptions is unknown.* Ugh... its been too long since I've created clothes. Always armor as of late. *He snorts.* Lets see... yes, this one shouldn't require being fed unlike my cloak. *A 'Yes, We're open.' sign turns around on the door while he mutters and putters about.*

[Blaze]

THe moment the sign is flipped, Lucy bursts into the store, an excited grin on her face.

"Show me your fabrics! Fabrics you made I gotta see!"

[Harri-chan]

Elliot came in a few seconds after Lucy, a little out of breath. In fact, after stepping through the door, he slumped back against the wall and took several deep gasps. It was only a couple of moments later than he took in his surroundings, blue eyes squinting about curiously, before falling on Raleigh.

"Ah..".

[Raleigh]

Well sure, look around. Any particular kind of substance or trait you are looking for? As expected I can make whatever you want the color you want so that isn't so much the issue as what other aspects you desire. *Finishes stitching together the shadows and nods to himself.* This'll do nicely. And just in time too. *The jacket disappears to somewhen else.* And that is one knife to the heart that will never work. *Turning to the entrants.* So, as I said, what would you like, Lucy?

Aloha, Elliot. You seem enthused to see my personage. Everything alright for you? Need a drink or something to calm down there?

[Blaze]

Lucy seems to be vibrating with glee! She takes several deep breaths to calm herself.

"Let's... let's work our way down the list. Show me your denim!... please?"

[Harri-chan]

Elliot waved his hand dismissively, still catching his before stepping away from the wall. "I just wanted to catch Lucy. She's faster than she looks. A drink? Sure...", he nodded. "Hey, kid, you need to calm down before you blow a blood vessel or something".

[Raleigh]

*A glass of water appears in front of Elliot while Raleigh turns around and pulls out a rack of various denim clothing. Hanging from the edge of the rack is a large placard with various mixes of denim to pick from.* Have a look. *His right eyelid twitches a bit at being asked to display denim but he says nothing.*

((Amusingly enough that reaction isn't so much 'I'm a tailor and this material is beneath me.' kind of reaction as its my actual opinion of that particular fabric. Weighs too much and is too stiff.))

[Blaze]

Lucy runs her hand down the length of the various denims, giggling softly.

"Hmm? Did you want something?" she asks Elliot absent-mindedly, not even looking at him.

[Harri-chan]

Elliot took the glass and gulped down some water as he followed Lucy, absently listening to her and Raleigh. "I can wait til you're done...", he murmured, his blue gaze drifting around the shop. "Magical material, Raleigh? In the hands of little miss fashion designer that could turn out rather interesting".

[Raleigh]

Of course. I don't think there is anyone else around that can spin light into cloth, conjure up large stores of shadow weave, or the like. So Lucy is into making fashions, eh? This could be a more lucrative endeavor than I thought when I opened it. *Makes a mental note to set himself up as a provider for quite a few of the other rare and magical resources people might need.* When you finish with the denim I think I have some other things you might like. I've always been partial to the autumn leaf blend I put together.

[Blaze]

Lucy seem to snap out of her creative mood and turns to look at Elliot.

"Why did you follow me in here exactl-Autumn leaf weave?! Showmeshowmeshowme!"

[Raleigh]

Righto. *Seems to flow over to another rack and pull it out. On it hangs a few dresses and jackets formed of what appear to be bound together autumn leaves giving them all a yellow to red coloration. Some seemed designed to make the fact that leaves were used stand out while others are put together in a manner to make someone think of flames rising. A similar swatch to the earlier set of denim hangs from the side of the rack.* We have other colors too but I like the red and yellow ones mostly. This is also much easier than using actual flames for the fiery look and has always been popular with the fae and similar races.

[Blaze]

Lucy coos as she runs her hand down the leaf fabric.

"This is incredible... I'll take... 20 meters of it."

[Kether]

*in his malish form Kether enters*Just fabrics then?

[Raleigh]

*Begins measuring out the requested length of leaf fabric.* Feel free to continue looking around while I pack this up for you.

*Turning to Kether.* Nah, we also sell notions, buttons, and other odds and ends for those who make clothes. Case in point, if you look behind you there is a collection of threads we sell. The internet thread doesn't sell well but then again when its made of a mix of flames, trolling, and porn I'm not surprised. The runic thread though I almost can't keep in stock.

I'm tempted to set up a section for cobbling as well but I haven't really seen much call for new shoes around here. New clothes though are always in demand what with the fluctuating bodies and mentalities.
