Melanie followed him to the desk, and lightly leaned her shoulders across the top of it, her red bunches swishing slightly as she peered at the book while he flipped the pages. "I could probably liven things up around here... ", she said with a smile. "But first I want to know exactly what this is". With that, she flicked the coin up again, and caught it.

The man gives her a slightly disbelieving look as he pages through. "I'm not really seeing anything, I'm afraid..."

As she catches it the coin seems...warm in her hand this time. Like it had been laying out in the sun...which is strange, considering that it hadn't felt special at all when it actually had been laying out in the sun. If she bother to take a look, again it seems to have landed on the jester side up.

The curator blinks, flipping back a page. The book, if only for a moment, had seemed to...shift slightly, imperceptibly. "Huh. Actually wait, there is something. Apparently that's a...'Difference Coin'. If you make a wish before or during a flip, it either gets granted, or..." He squints. "...Or it backfires in some way. According to this, so long as your luck holds there's nothing it can't do. The woman on the coin occasionally drops them into the world so she can see what happens...apparently." The man crosses his arms, leaning back in his chair. "I don't understand why it's in a book on currency though. I don't think you can spend it anywhere."

Melanie's face lit up with a mischievous grin as the curator read from the page. "I knew it wasn't just a plain old coin", she said with a smug smirk. "Nothing it can't do? Oh wow, that will have to be put to the test", she said, her voice ringing with excitement.

"Spend it? I have no intention of doing that", she smiled, holding the coin out on top of her thumb, and then nodded to herself, flicking it upwards, her green eyes watch it spin in the light, "I wish that I was the ruler of Muffinville for the day".

The coin fl-i-ips into the air, landing back squarely down. When she raises her palm from her arm...Well, it may occur to her that it really was too bad she'd used up her good luck with those first two flips! She has just enough time to hear the man adding: "...Oh! Be careful, apparently it can't directly undo its own wishes...!" --before the lines on the back seem to swirl and raise from the coin, whirling up her arm--forming a white glove that wraps around first it and then the other one.

As the lines dance around her, vertigo may fill the teenage witch...as the teenage witch feels herself slowly being forced through puberty--backwards. Her pigtails seem to explode into a single mass of green hair as she feels her sneakers harden around her feet. Forming into white heels--each one with a decorative rose on the toe--she feels a bit strange as they push her up...but not fast enough to actually make her any taller, as her height seems to dwindle, losing at least a foot as a white dress whirls around her, encasing her legs in pure-white stockings, and supplanting her underwear with soft white panties. As a tiara nestles itself in her head, the vertigo seems to have settled...and she's realize that she's traded whatever curves she'd had for royalty. Of course, she's only ruler of Muffinville for the day because the council is on break, and the Queen is on a business trip. Why else would the Pastry Princess be left in charge?

Within the trappings of royal memory though, she'll find that she still has her original personality--and memories. They're just bolstered by these new ones. That said, the man seems surprised as her. Perhaps the coin only changed reality for those that did not see it flip?

Melanie saw the coin land the wrong way up, just as the man explained a wish could not be undone by the coin. At first, she thought perhaps she had got her way after all, as the gloves wrapped around her hands, but that thought was short-lived.

Her green eyes widened slightly as the main desk started to rise up between her and the curator. She grasped at the edge of it, wincing at the sense of vertigo as she felt her hair coming loose to hang down behind her, while her shoes shifted around her feet.

Tilting her head forward, she looked down as the short black dress exploded out into something much more fancy. Suprise was etched onto her face as she continued to dwindle in height despite now wearing heels, and one hand lifted, fingers brushing over the tiara that had appeared on top of her head.

"Pastry Princess... ?", she asked out loud as she felt new memories joining her own. "PASTRY PRINCESS?", she asked again, this time louder, sounding like a child that was used to getting what she wanted, just being told on this occasion she had to go without.

Her gaze darted up to the young man, her cheeks flushing red as she cast him an annoyed glare, "It landed on the jester BOTH the previous flips!".

The man does his absolute darndest to stifle a laugh. Certainly it was a dramatic change...but he was a native. This kind of thing did happen.

"Well...you went and flipped it even after I told you it has a 50% chance of backfiring." He shakes his head. 'But er, tell you what...Miss Pastry Princess. I can take the coin off your hands for, oh, a nice doll? I'm sure it would make a good exhibit."

Both her hands clenched into fists at her sides as the man taunted her by offering to trade the coin for a doll. "An exhibit? I don't think so. What chaos can it cause stuck behind a glass case in a building nobody even visits?", she huffed. "I'll share... but not yet", she said.

The dress swirled emphatically as she turned on her little heels, taking a few steps away from the desk, "You'll come with me", she said, and then paused, looking back over her shoulder at him. "But it would hardly be appropriate for you to accompany me looking like that... ", she said, and tried to see if her magical ability was still with her...

Though her memories are a little tangled, lessons with the court wizard hopping to mind...she seems to have retained her magic, for good or for ill.

The man frowns. "Well, clearly it's better off not being used--look what it did to you!" He shakes his head, face falling. "...And don't get any ideas...'Primcess'. I'm staying right where I am!"

"That's what you think", she said, giving him a grin as she snapped her fingers.

The young man's hair suddenly turned pink, and started growing down, in front of his eyes, over his shoulders. A tingling spread through his body, and then turned into a sort of... bubbling sensation. He could feel his mass becoming unstable, getting thinner in certain areas, such as his waist, his arms and his legs, while other areas, particularly his butt and chest expanded outwards.

Now it was his turn to loose a little height, although admittedly it was barely noticeable compared to what Melanie had gone through. The way the shape of his body was changing was far more dramatic however. The expanding mass on his chest had taken the form of breasts, and as his hips widened slightly, he felt his boy parts going numb, shrinking away before reforming as girl parts.

The smart clothes she wore began to shrink, revealing slim arms without a trace of body hair or muscle, and as the legs of the pants travelled up her legs, they were revealed to be in a similar state. The shirt and pants merged into one, becoming a very short, and very tight fitting pink dress, with yellow ribbon criss-crossing the front of it, and more yellow ribbon forming a large bow at the back.

White cups formed around her swollen breasts, matching the puffy dropped-shoulders of the dress, and the white apron that had appeared, tied firmly beneath the breasts, and reaching down to the tops of her thighs, the same length as the dress, where it ended in frills. Her socks sprouted up out of her shoes, into long white stockings with pink stripes, masses of frills forming at the tops, with more yellow ribbon.

Her shoes shifted around her feet into a pair of white heels, considerably lager than the ones the little Princess wore, and a white collar formed around her neck, trimmed with yellow frills and a pink ribbon tied into a bow right at the front.

"That's better... ", smiled Melanie, looking rather happy with the result.

The man--or, quickly the woman--yeeps, stumbling back out of her chair as her body changes dramatically. Clearly she'd been expecting the little princess to be too scared to flip the coin...but she hadn't accounted for her also being a witch! Hands flying to her frills...and then her breasts, she flushes, gaping.

"W-what is...this?"

Melanie let out a laugh as she saw the woman stumbling back and grasping at her chest. "My wish may have backfired... but I still get to be in charge for the day. I'm making you my personal assistant for my twenty four hour reign. Now come, there's much to do, and the clock is ticking!", she said, holding up the clenched hand that held the coin.

The newly-minted woman blinks, stumbling forward, giving the little Princess quite a view of just what she's lost.

"But--I--" She gulps. "You'll turn me back when it's over?"

"We'll see about that. The coin made me ruler for one day... but I don't think it has any intention of only keeping me as Pastry Princess for one day. I'll have to figure that one out for myself", she said with a slightly dramatic sigh, and then motioned for the woman to follow as she started walking for the exit. "By the way... what was you name?".

The girl hesitates..but after a moment scurries along in her wake, clearly not favoring the 'stay alone in the museum with no magic' strategy of turning back to normal.

"My name is Brom! And--" She reddens slightly, smoothing down her skirt as they exit the building. "W-where are you even going to go?"

"Brom... well, that can stay, I think", she said in a thoughtful tone as she held her dress with her hands, to avoid tripping over it as she made her way down the steps outside the museum. "This coin is a gift... I want to share it with as many people as possible", she said with a wicked smile. "After all, the chaos that they could cause themselves would be much greater than anything I could unleash alone...".
