Elly looks at Ambush curiously. "Does she only come around annually?" she asks, before pausing the waiter to order a shrimp salad.

Nah, it's just that she's gone back home to finish school. She should be back come June. *pauses to take another bite* She used to be fairly military until she decided she wanted to be more normal.

It's a trifle, if ever was.

"I prefer to keep the name of this organization to myself, no offense. However, I will say that they are a certain organization that chooses to rear their head from obscurity from time to time to cause trouble, until their leader is pacified if only temporarily.... They appear to have gone off the radar for now, however I've been preparing for the possibility of their return should it ever occur."

Elly nods. "Well, most people can't handle military life in the long term. I can't blame her for wanting a normal life..."

Major Durant hmms. "So... it's an organization that has been around in that past, but quiet lately... so it can't be any of the newer ones that have made trouble. You say you admire Azer, so it can't be Black Isles. Hmm... well, there's that Brotherhood that we've been investigating. They've got quite a number of resources, although many of them have been left lying around unattended, it seems."

"You don't say," says Bones with a curious grin. "I myself am conducting research on that group as well... In your investigations, you haven't happened to discern the current wearabouts of said group, have you? Perhaps news of a entity cloaked in Red?"

Major Durant quirks her eyebrow. "Ahhh... you're speaking of that individual. We don't have much detailed information on them, but we have recorded encounters with him before. As for their whereabouts... we have occupied one of their missile launch facilities, boarded the Mage Star, and been progressively examining some kind of large scale device of their, amongst others." She considers a moment. "The Mage Star is still active, if you're curious."

"Well then," says Bones with a smile. "This changes things then. Since you appear to not be affiliated with the group perhaps I can share some more information. I'm not particularly interested in the Mage Star although, if I remember correctly, I think I've sent some Chibi there once on a delivery mission...

"Anywho, what I'm seeking is information on their Ovalisk program, in particular ways to reverse engineer the effects of the transformation. Perhaps you've heard of an individual by the name of Paola?"

The major nods. "Someone was interested in our investigation of the Mage Star, as our ships were fired upon." She considers a moment. "The Ovalisk program? We only have some cursory records of that, as it largely predates our... organization. However, there may be some information amongst the records we've managed to recover from the Brotherhood installations. I will have our scientists take a look."

"Fair enough. Perhaps, in turn I can return the favor by having the Chibiwanbanshu look into the nature behind the Mage Stars attacks? If the brotherhood is still around, we want to know. If not, I'm sure the Mage Star is not something we want falling in idle hands, yes?"

"We may not know much about the Brotherhood however we would appreciate if you would be willing to share what information you have, or at least willing to give. In return the Chibiwanbanshu will be happy to lend you its resources as well. While we lack heavy artillery the Chibiwanbanshu spy network is practically omnipresent."

Really? How fascinating. *A chair near their table shifts into Raleigh as he stands up and walks over to the table.* Mind if I join in? If this is about Brotherhood Tech I have an interest in it. Also, I think I have a captured ovalisk if either of you are wanting it.

Major Durant takes a sip from her wine. "From what we can tell, the attacks weren't from the Brotherhood, but some other entity with a highly sophisticated vessel. They didn't fire to kill, at least, only to disable. As for the Mage Star... well, we believe it is still occupied by a remnant Brotherhood force, although it seems to be content to remain on board the station."

The major glances at Raleigh's approach. "Ahhh, Raleigh. I'm not entirely surprised to see you here. I will say, we don't have much interest in the ovalisk, ourselves."

"Likewise. Specimen Alpha is enough. We don't want to create a possible hazard at our Scientific Research Outpost."

He turns to Major Durant.

"Hmmm... Is it possible that the Red Cloaked individual is aboard? I've been hoping for the possibility of encountering him again..."

Shakes his head.

"Would this remnant force be considered a possible threat? I don't think I could sleep easy myself knowing that organization is still in control of that craft..."

Drat. I've been trying to decide what to do with it since I sealed it in that dimension. Oh well, I'm sure I'll have something to use it for in the future.

I figured you both wouldn't be too surprised by me showing up but given that two factions I have ties with were meeting I had to show up in case an intermediary was required.

You know, between the two of you, you could try to take the Mage Star to eliminate even more of the brotherhood threat in this region. Its capabilities aren't what they were when Strat and Himitsu had control of it from what I've seen.

(( Aaargh, I finally got ahold of Caprice and found out that the CTC had boarded the Beige Star, not the Mage Star. So I'll have to correct that... >__< Can we just assume that she's been discussing the Beige Star so far? I suppose I could edit my posts to correct it... ))

"During our expedition on board, I don't recall any reports of an individual matching the description of the red-cloaked one. Most of the remaining forces were apparently robotic in nature, under the control of the one called Amalia," the major explains. "They didn't seem to be that significant of a threat, at this point in time."

She glances at Raleigh. "Based on our expedition, it doesn't seem that it would be quite worth the hassle. Archangel Station is nearly complete, and we've got enough orbital assets that the Beige Star likely wouldn't be worth the difficulties that taking it would entail, particularly considering that Amalia and her minions are occupying it."

Re: An Invitation to Dinner

Postby Harri-chan » Thu Nov 03, 2011 4:50 am

On a nearby table, a teenage girl sat, seemingly having dinner with her parents. She had long blonde hair, a thin, athletic figure, and was wearing a cream silk sleeveless dress that wrapped around her body from the top of the chest to the top of her thighs, with thin straps over her shoulders to hold it up. Tucked beside her on the chair was a beige leather purse.

She had a cell phone beside her dinner plate, and as many teens would, she was constantly checking it for messages. Moments after one came through, she leaned across the table to speak quietly with the woman one round assume was her Mother. The woman also had blonde hair, but her dress was red, skin tigy around get torso, and flowed to her ankles, with splits up the side of her long legs. She had a very expensive looking necklace on, which drew attention to her large bust, and red high heels on her feet.

Rising from the table, the woman made her way across to the meeting, her heels clicking and her hips swaying. Stepping behind the Major, she leaned down, giving Bones quite the view of her cleavage, her glossed red lips moving close to the Major's ear.

"Major... there's someone with a rifle on the roof of the building opposite. They're watching this table as we speak...". She hesitated, and eyed Bones for a moment. "We think they're working with him...".
