Hunt for Green Baracuda

"Ah Mr. Cloak, I was distracted by the MORPHEUS' curious reaction. Anyways, I was wondering if you could conjure up some form of defense to protect the Green Baracuda. While I hardly fear any assault from the CTC from the surface, I fear we might be a tad vulnerable down below..."


Suddenly, the Blue Steel begins to pick up a large heat signature coming from the east, across from the mine field! Could this be the Green Baracuda?


The sound grows louder and louder until...

FLASH!

Konoko-Chan is blinded by a bright yellow light!

When her vision returns, the pokemon girl finds herself in a spacious ball room surrounded by strange individuals caught in the middle of a curious waltz.


The strange man leads Miki down the shore.

"So..." he says, attempting to break the ice. "I never got your name, my pretty."


Logos attempts to use her spiritual energies causes a slight ripple in the room, but little more. It does cause her to draw the attention of everyone else in the restaurant though...


The scientist receives no response... It would appear that he has somehow lost connection with the CTC HQ.

Then again he might have other concern to worry about as he might notice that he is in the middle of a pine forest. How strange!

In the distance there is a faint noise echoing through the woods...


"There should be some waters in the backseat Jolene. Feel free to help yourself, just as long as you promise to stop leaving your belongings in my car."

The car drives on, soon leaving the downtown area... Where exactly are they going? o.o

::Ummm.... That way!:: giggles the gynoid, pointing in the direction of a tall building. Grabbing Ryu-Tan by the hand, the excitable gynoid dashes over to the radio station where a certain stranger should be waiting.

"Why do you keep calling me that?", asked Elliot in a frustrated tone, one hand holding the purse on his lap as he twisted around and reached through to the back seat to grab a bottle of water, the pink hair sweeping across his shoulders as he did so. "If this is your idea of a game, it isn't funny, Aki", he said, frowning at the boy as he twisted the cap from the bottle, and then gulped a mouthful to wash down the two pills. Placing the pill box back into the purse, he nosily poked through the rest of it's contents, totally not paying attention to where they were going.

Ah, okay. I always enjoy meeting people for the first time again. Hey Ambush. I was mentioning simply setting them up to be battle crazed females at the last moment is all since he is tapping into their minds.

Konoko shakes her head of the light and blinks, looking around. Her lips turned into a frown. "Okay, this is getting a wee bit out of control..."

[A Stranger]

The black-clad figure was pacing back and forth impatiently by the time Rauol and Ryu arrived, and the cloak swished around dramatically as the stranger turned to the pair, and spoke in a robotic-sounding voice. "Took you long enough". The figure's gun was now pointed at the two, "You're kind of funny looking mercenaries... ".

Suddenly, the Blue Steel begins to pick up a large heat signature coming from the east, across from the mine field! Could this be the Green Baracuda?

The Blue Steel floats silently in the water, considering its options. It seems highly unlikely that the Green Barracuda has chosen to make itself known at this juncture -- instead, a trap or ambush is far more likely. Still, there's something to be said for learning things, even from obvious traps.

A minute later, something big and noisy approaches the large heat signature!

The scientist frowns, running a quick diagnostic on his comm equipment. However, he quickly notices that he is no longer on the beach, but in the middle of a pine forest.

Frowning, he glances about. "So... that's how it is," he murmurs to himself. The most logical assumption is that his protections have failed and that he's fallen under the influence of the telepathic wave... meaning that his real body is likely comatose on the beach, and that this is the illusion others have experienced. Given the biomonitoring implants in his body, his comrades are likely already aware of his condition, so he's currently at no physical risk. In fact, they may well be making an effort to transport him beyond the range of the telepathic wave, which may interrupt the signal -- or not.

"So... what do you do, when you're not certain if it's a dream, or if it's real," he murmurs to himself. His first instinct is to check his surroundings for any obvious sign of threat. He also checks to see, just in case, if the body of his patient is here too. He also does a quick check of his own equipment, his sidearm in particular, to see if he still possesses all of his normal gear.

The CTC droids monitoring the beach will notice the waves crashing along the shoreline have become quite large. A large blast of wind races past, whipping up clouds of sand that causes the sea birds and crabs (immune to the telepathic wave) to scatter for cover.

.... Is there a storm coming?


The robotic bunny-girl stares at the stranger, sizing him or her up. ::.... Are you the contact we're supposed to meet up with?:: she asks, delicate hand reaching for the hilt of her blade.


As Logo's foot crashes to the floor with a loud thud... nothing seems to happen! It seems that in the dream world that Logo's abilities have been cut off!

Logo's feels a cold hand grab her gently on the shoulder.

"Excuse me..." says a stoic individual wearing a white Changshan, his eyes masked behind a pair of shades.


As the Gardevoir girl stands there gawking at her environment, BUMP! A young couple accidentally thump into Konoko in the middle of a twirl.

"Oi! Watch we're you're going!" shouts an obnoxious spiky haired boy in a blue tuxedo.

How rude!


"You can call me Raphael, chica" says the man watching as Miki scans the beach for signs of life. "...Can I ask what it is you are doing?"

Miki finds her mind getting cloudy as she attempts to reach out to those on the beach. Its the kind of fogginess you feel after a major hangover or perhaps after ingesting one tomapple too many.


In the purse Elliot finds a pair of car keys, a tube of pink lipstick, a compact mirror, some lifesavers, some feminine products that the narrator would rather not discuss, and a drivers license for one Jolene Smichdt, age 28. The picture depicts a pink haired woman with a roundish face a sweet (if a tad bit vacant) expression on her darling face.

".... That is your name right,?" asks Aki, turning his attention towards Elliot. "I mean, that's what it says on your name card."


While the scientist is distracted from his investigation (finding nothing amiss aside from the missing patient), a small group of children dressed in colorful garments rush past him chatting excitedly amongst themselves!

"Come on! The festival is just up ahead!"

"Nee-chan, wait for meee!"

"Hurry it up guys! We don't want to be late!"


"That will do just nicely" says Bones, scratching Ambush behind the ears (if she is still there that is). "Just make sure it doesn't attack the Barracuda."


Elsewhere in the sea, the large nosy object approaching the heat source may detect a faint submarine shaped object lingering in the mist....

Hooking a finger into the ring that held the car keys, Elliot lifted them out and examined them, before squinting at the pink lipstick. The purse's contents had him rather distracted, and he pulled the compact mirror out to check his reflection while he continued to push his other hand around. He blushed rather brightly at the discovery of the feminine products, and tried to bury them beneath the other things, when he saw the driver's license.

He felt his chest tighten slightly as he saw the name on it, the same name Aki had used when speaking to him... and then his wide blue eyes snapped back to the boy. "My... name card?", he asked, still clutching the mirror in one hand as he glanced down over himself, "I'm don't have a name card... I think Bones is getting to you, Aki... ", he said, looking at the boy with a concerned expression.

Righto. *He spreads out his fingers and at the tip of each one is a small gem.* Any allies under the seas here I should know about before I generate them? I don't want to find out you were expecting to meet up with someone only for it to fall through because they tore them apart.

Logos's frown deepens as she realizes her abilities are gone. When she feels the hand on her shoulder, she spins around and tries to smack the hand away!
