The Admiral Says...

[A Brand New Day]

The metropolis of Muffinville is a place of change, potential, and randomness. Sometimes... things go on that can't be explained. That have no source. Are their own sources... ...or are just entirely self-contradicting paradoxes within themselves.

In one of the open squares of the city, in one of those city blocks that is open to the sky, lays a small box. Gift wrapped in a starry gift paper, and tied up with a velvet purple ribbon. The paper is of actual stars, the pattern matching the night sky. As for the ribbon, there is nothing special of it, save for the elaborate bow the ribbon is tied into. The box just sits there, in the middle of square... unnoticed. The sky has only a few clouds that drift lazily across the sky, and a few folk walk on the outskirts of the otherwise abandoned square. It's rather quite idyllic!

[Miku-chan]

*a young boy with blond hair wanders up ..."Who would ??? I wonder..." pulls the ribbon off the pacage trying to unwrap it

AMBUSH!!!

*Ambush Cat leaps out of nowhere... and soars right over the boy's head, tackling a hapless Indigo-ified NPC somewhere nearby! The resulting fight takes them both out of sight.*

*One of the self-contradicting paradoxes arrives to see what was happening.* That npc needed to learn the art of how not to be seen.

He touched the ribbon? The ribbon!? ...okay. Nothing happens. The box is left wrapped up in it's paper without the ribbon on it! ...if he does unwrap it as well...

...a small blank cardboard box is revealed! It's sealed up with tape.

As for Ambush, the NPC grumbles and flails about! Fighting as well as any stereotypical distressed lady can manage! As in, not that well at all. All the fighting does manage to draw the attention of a few other NPCs. ...including some police officers who were eating doughnuts at the nearby coffee joint.

No one around seems to be paying attention to Raleigh yet. After all, why should them? He hasn't done anything yet!

[Miku-chan]

*The boy falls back as Ambush sails overhead, the purple ish ribbon wraps around his wrist. Seeing nothing has happened, he opens the wrapping paper to see the taped up cardboard box. Not owning a knife...( mother says those are for older men and he was still too young to own one, although father did try and give him one before mother found out and left father a whimpering mess for weeks after)...he whips out his handy dandy nail file and proceeds to open the tape up along the folds and joints...

*Ambush Cat leaps away from the Indigo girl after the short brawl, leaving her a shambles, and takes off running. His escape route takes him right past the coffee shop.*

Suddenly, Alex emerges from an alleyway! Seeing the boy fiddling with the box, she points dramatically at him!

"Stoooooooooop! A box left in the open is suuuper-sus-pish-oss!" @____@

Bostwick tilts his head for a moment, frowning. "I got a really bad feeling about this-cheep." He wasn't sure why, though. Animal instinct of sorts?

The door of the coffee show is thrown open, smashing the cat in the face before Elliot strides out, enjoying a donut. Not even noticing the cat, he continues down the street, marveling at the donut before each bite, when he heard a ditzy-sounding cry that was somewhat familiar. "I know that voice... ", he muttered before coming around the corner, standing on the opposite side of the square to Alex. "Hey!", he grinned when he saw her, and lifted a hand to wave as he walked across the square, almost tripping over the prettily wrapped box. "Watch where you're opening your presents, squirt!".

[Miku-chan]

The nail file slips and Punctures both the box and elliots pant leg..."Hey stupid, watch where your walking"

[Blaze]

Alex gasps and waves her arms, trying to scare Elliot away from the box!

"Stay awaay! It might be a trap!" O___O

*lodged halfway through the door* ...As Hunter would say, "and yet another unexpected twist". *shrinks himself just enough to escape the hole he put himself in, then continues running*

Alex gasps and waves her arms, trying to scare Elliot away from the box!

*without looking back* Finally the Admiral puts in an appearance!

Ambush might be able to get away! ...but for everyone else...

As soon as the top of the box is punctured, a sliver of light peeks through! A bright beam of light! Even with the nail file removed, the light splices the rest of the box open. The crack widening every moment... and then like a hunger demon taking a huge yawn... the folds of the box spread out. With the interior of the box released to the world, the blinding light encompasses most of the square!

Then the wind starts, it is like a vortex... or a vacuum. Sucking everyone towards it! Strangely... the NPC's don't seem affected. Nor to any of the objects, or even the dust. All present will have a struggle not to be pulled in! ...and many might find their abilities are sapped. Weakened. Like super man near Kryptonite (Before they retconned it to kill him. Seriously, how dumb is that? His species lived on the planet and it's fatal now? That'd be like humans finding water deadly).

[Blaze]

Alex lets out an eep and covers her eyes, shielding them from the bright light! She tries to back away, but her feet slip out from underneath her and she is dragged towards the box!
