Eebon: It's the magical overflow that does that, isn't it? Gaw.

[Raleigh]

Yep. Despite all my efforts I still let off too much magic to prepare food without having consequences.

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *chews quietly before speaking* And I guess having someone or something on hand to temporarily absorb excess magic is out of the question. Gaw.

[Raleigh]

You mean like some sort of magic eating creature or device? I think I've tried that once or twice before and it has caused other issues but I suppose I could try again. I'm pretty sure such things have advanced since then anyway.

[AmbushCat]

Echo: *looks up* What kind of issues?

Elk: Ranger Rick gets a Life on Time.

[Raleigh]

Well the creature I used exploded or got ill from the corruption I put in my magic run off to keep enemies from taking it to power themselves and the machines just didn't last very long. I remember one made it a few hours though now that I think about it.

[AmbushCat]

*Eebon and Echo both wince upon hearing this. Elk, finishing his meal, raises his hand*

Elk: More, please!

[Raleigh]

Sure. *More of the food appears for Elk.* Perhaps if I make a more specialized organic machine? That is one of our more specialized fields of technology.

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *watching Elk eat for a moment* Is that the same as biotech?

[Raleigh]

I suppose so yes. Why do you ask?

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: It just sounded familiar, is all. Gaw--- *stomach rumbles* Excuse me a second.

*Eebon takes a few steps away from everyone, then turns towards the distant horizon and vomits out an icy beam. Echo watches as it disappears in the distance, freezing the ground beneath it as it goes.*

Eebon: Was wondering when that thing would try to escape. Gaw.

[Raleigh]

What was it that you ate?

Eebon: *hand behind her head* Well, we'd gotten lost recently, and someone shot this icy death beam at us. I had to swallow it before we could make our getaway. Gaw.

[Raleigh]

OH? Who would attack you?

[AmbushCat]

Eebon: *sweatdrops* Um... a total stranger? Maybe? Gaw? Please don't go off and blow something up for our sake.
