He shrugs, and tries to climb up the nearest tree. He's never been terribly good at climbing trees, but is hoping his slightly-enhanced strength or something will make it a little easier.

Kevin sees that something odd is going on before too long. He looks down at the ground, and if he appears to be only a couple of yards off the ground or so he lets go to see if he'll fall infinitely, too.

Well, he has an appointment to keep after sunset, and that won't be possible if he's still stuck in this forest. Kevin sniffs the air to see if he can catch the scent of gasoline burning in cars, which would indicate a road..or maybe a campfire or something.
