Pt. 4: A New Hope?

"Well, that last part, I can explain pretty easily." Mark says, taking a glance behind him for a moment, before looking back at Konoko. "She's looking for me." Glancing around a little, he then pauses. "As for why, well...it's because I am the only clone of Mark left that has not been captured, transformed, and assimilated...and if they get me, Mark will be gone...possibly forever."

The Mary clone glares a bit and teleports to behind the little robot, on the other side of the bush or so and tries to slash at the thing from behind.

"Ah yes, evil clones assimilating and stuff." Konoko muttered, remembering the whole issue a long while back with the evil Konoko clone and stuff. "Err... anyway, why don't YOU try and capture, transform, or assimilate a clone? There's one outside, so surely you would be able to do that if she were caught, right?"

The Peebo was slashed but as it was, it shouted. "Peebo in distress! Crazy psycho on premises and up to no good! Backup needed now!"

After saying that, what looked like two tiny rockets with cute faces on the tip charged at Mary from the sky. "Peebo Sky Missiles inbound for psycho woman!"

[Shy Shay]

Shay smirks. "Oho, I've never been clearer~ And if you think I'm gonna become your minion, you're quite mistaken." She lets out an evil laugh. She slips on a ring. "Let's see now~" She looks at Mary, seeing her (basically) energy. "Let's see what I can find out~"

[Warriorbot&the invisible one]

Strangely, the time distortion field fails to take effect on the robot! The kunai and bill-hook, not being actually a part or contained inside the robot, do attempt to move backwards in time but are impeded by its unmoving hands. (Presumably her own weapon comes with Mary in teleportation, of course.) Warriorbot, meanwhile, seems to predict Sam's teleportation route and jumps, rockets firing at the bottom of its hefty legs to allow it to reach whatever height is necessary to land on the roof in front of Mary. It swings its sword a couple of times, chopping air as it is still several feet away. The invisible robot is invisible, of course, and has stashed the visible kunai again, but now several shurikens fire at Mary's back from nearly point-blank range! It seems that Warriorbot's ruse was a...DISTRACTION. It certainly seems likely the shurikens hit, given the distraction and the fact that Mary's been monologing while this was going on...

(To give a better explanation than is readily evident to those nearby, the special shielding that enables these robots to travel through the unstable dimensional portals they use in a stable manner also blocks simple time distortion fields. It's a fact their builder wasn't even aware of until they were up against a time mage in a very magic-prolific universe.)

[.... Hmm ¬_¬ Smells like attempting to cover ones' butt to me just because you don't want to be one-upped with somebody using an actual power of theirs. If you have to go into some weird OOC explanation in regards to how your character manages to get away with it like you just did, then it's likely just something made up on the spot just because you don't want to lose.

And this did not seem like a 'simple' bit of time manipulation. Simple would be something like stopping time for a moment. This was a reversal of time by a few moments.]

[[By "simple" I am referring to the method, not necessarily the effect. Using "time magic" like Haste, Slow, Stop, Undo is considered 'simple', while manipulating things in a roundabout manner is considered 'more complex'. It's worth noting the end result would have been the same even if it were successful in this instance, as a reverse-time field would only cause the invisible robot to go back through the dimensional hole it entered near Mary's prior location, at which point it would be in normal-time and able to step through the dimensional gate again, thus ending up where it is now. It doesn't make sense for such a field to reverse actions and then not reverse them all of a sudden, after all; it either does one or the other.]]

The last time that someone went off on stuff being simple and complex and dealing with attacks, it ruined the thread that I was running at the time for me. And, now, whoever you are that is running these bots, do not base whether or not an attack does or does not happen based on simple/complex **** anymore or you're done. I don't care who you are, but I AM NOT going to have another thread of mine ruined over stupid **** like that. You want to continue it, you can continue it elsewhere, but NOT THIS THREAD! Capiche?!

Also...you're at two and a half strikes...yes, a half because of the simple/complex ****. I've got my eye on you...you have slowly been ruining my enjoyment for this thread. This is your last chance if you want to actually stay in this. I will not tolerate any more of this crap that is coming from you.))

Do the shurikens hit?! The answer is...no! Why?! Because of whatever the hell just appeared right behind Mary while she was talking, knocking almost all of the shurikens either back at the invisible bot or the warrior bot, before taking the last one in its hands. A closer examination of the figure is...it's a Goku figurine! AW SNAP!

And the Goku figurine isn't done! Taking the last of the shurikens thrown at Mary, it catches it, before suddenly flying straight towards the invisible bot, that it may or may not be able to sense.

((And if you wanna question how the shurikens bounce over toward the warriorbot since Mary might be in-between them, well...here's your answer...))

"I don't care about rescuing any stupid man," said Francesca as she was trying to hold in her anger. Her eyes were quickly going in and out. She was gritting her teeth but it seems like they were slowly changing to be pointed at canines. Francesca then took another step and took a look at Sam's worried and pleading look, "Don't you dare touch a hair on my baby now or ever!"

Soon Francesca took a step and disappear. The sound of footsteps could be heard running upward as soon Francesca then appeared in front Mary and Sam. The short catgirl's eyes looked feral and full of rage as her labcoat flutter behind her. She had a long blade of aura that looked like a katana ready to slash at the weapon that the girl was holding up against Sam.

"Let go!" yelled the angry Francesca as her ears flaring up and the fur on them and her tail were on it's end.

If Francesca does slash, she will find both the forms of Mary and Sam to shimmer for a bit, before quickly fading away. Francesca will then be able to hear a bit of maniacal laughter coming from Mary...but it seems to be coming from more than one direction! If one would look, they would find Mary, with her cloak back over her head, causing those that would sense her via her energy patterns to not find much of anything coming from her...but, wait...is she on that one roof...or that other roof? Or that roof over there? And another...and back behind Francesca...back behind all of the bots?

"I'm so sorry if you were hoping to cut me to ribbons, but I'd like to put some distance between me and those obnoxious robots. And see...since Sam doesn't really have any magical abilities...she's like sensing a normal human for you all, right? Which might be a bit difficult, considering I'm right beside her. Hehe.

Suddenly, all six Mary's on the various rooftops move away from all six Sam's...all of which seem to be frozen. "Let's just say I've been working on this since that first bot appeared. Oh...and don't worry about Sam...see, she's fine...just frozen in time. The thing is, will you be able to find the correct one...in time, before I decide to send her on a little trip?"

At first, Shay is able to get some sort of readings, but they appear shaky, and as soon as Francesca slashes through the fake, the readings disappear entirely. Now...for what the ring lets her see, that's up to Shay...as this OOC has no idea what all Shay's trying to find out exactly.

The Mary clone blinkblinks as she hears this and looks up, spotting the rockets. Quickly she starts running and sending small energy blasts towards the rockets to try and impact with them and destroy them.

The ring lets her see nothing! It is a combat device. Shay prepares for battle, strengthening her stance.

It appears the world has moved to a dimension slightly askew of the prior one, wherein the two robots did not attempt to stop the kidnapping.

[[I'm afraid I don't know what "simple/complex" means, aside from being some kind of oxymoron. You seem to be accusing me of some form of godmodding, which I'm not sure is even illegal in the muffin room to begin with, and which I'm pretty sure is also what "making every instance of my being-attacked character an illusion without any hints that it is or to where the real one could be" is. That said, the abilities of each robot are concrete and set, characterized piecemeal. They have strengths and they have weaknesses. I can't very well just list their powers and faults all at once, it'd be quite boring and make future fights with them boring. Next, this is the muffin room last I checked...not a structured RP place where threads truly "belong" to their initiators, and 'kicking out' is rather impossible. I'd probably leave if you asked politely, and I probably am leaving after such an angry response to reasonable behavior, but it's not something I would -have- to do. Start talking about rules that were apparently in your head but never mentioned anywhere in this topic and "strikes", and I'm just going to be confused. I should note that I haven't read "part 1" or "part 2" at all, because I intended to come into this event just as unknowing as the robots are about its past history, so if there were rules stated there I'm sorry, but I missed them.

Finally, a kidnapping is boring if nobody tries competently to stop it, which is what these two robots are doing. Without heroic characters to try to stop them, villains are entirely pointless. The problem is that Mary (the character, not you) is underestimating their abilities drastically and assuming she can just shrug them off, when this is clearly not the case. I'd rather not go into the whole history, but they've been taking down powerful people for many, many years; they were designed for it and have lots of practice. Nonetheless, it's only two: a proper fight and they could be beaten, and she wouldn't have to worry about them anymore. Heck, if a clone or two (since apparently there's a lot of them) engaged them in an actual fight they could easily be conveniently distracted or led away from the kidnapping.

Suddenly, a clone appears just a few feet away from Sage, her axe drawn and heading right to her!

"Hmm... I see." Konoko said, crossing her arms and looking deep in thought. "So you're saying if she's captured, right?" She asked, looking into the direction of outside.

The missiles were destroyed, but as she ran, a portal appeared under her feet.

"Well, yeah...but...don't tell me you're about to try and capture one...despite this being your place, Konoko, I doubt they would have any qualms in sending a few more once this one is captured...and I don't want to be responsible for your place getting messed up..." Mark says, frowning as he looks on.

The clone is a bit caught off-guard by the portal suddenly appearing under her feet, and after she takes a step into it, she quickly tries to fly or attempt to teleport out of it!

Shay jumps and flips backward into a semi-ackward martial arts stance; he shoots a steady stream of fire from his hands to the clone.

The clone quickly teleports out of the way, but really only back a good 10 or 15 feet away, before creating a water orb and suddenly sending a stream of water at Shay!

Francesca tilts her head and was able to tell where Sam and Mary where. She then took off with all fours to stand before Mary and was reaching for Sam to pull her out of Mary's hold with one hand while with the other one seem to be aiming to punch for Mary's knife.

Mary suddenly reaches up to grab a hold of Francesca's fist that was aimed for her billhook. However, this leaves Francesca wide open to make a grab for Sam...or does it? As soon as Francesca's hand reaches into the energy field surrounding Sam, she'll find her hand and her wrist, which is about as far as she can get in through the field, tantalizingly close to Sam and unable to be moved any closer. If Francesca tries to pull back, however, she'll also find that she cannot pull her wrist and hand out, either! Seeing this, Mary grins, evilly. "I see you fell into my trap."

"Oh, that's quite alright, Mark. If they damage any bit of property, I'll just rip out their insides and hang them by it." Konoko said, smiling brightly. "Or rip off their heads and gift them to the other Marys~"

Mark blinkblinks and stares at Konoko, a bit stunned. "Well...alright then. Guess that works." He says, scratching his head and shaking it a little.


Meanwhile, the Mary clone still attempts to try and teleport away, the OOC unsure if the first attempt was blocked by something or what, and if she is unable to, she quickly concentrates on sending small ki-blasts at the Peebo Missiles coming for her!
