Biography –
Orginally having been born in London and stayed there through Primary school until his parents had decided to move to the states, to a city know as Stepford. He would adapt to life there fairly quickly, but not changing much from how he had been in he had been in London, and for a time, his british accent gave him a certainly level of novelty amoung his peers, he would soon then settle back into his own ways...
Having grown up ever the slacker, Daniel tended to coast through everything in life, only ever getting as passing level of achievement in school and then college. After finishing his stint in college and a life of drifting about from one part time job to another, never achieving or progressing much in life but it never concerned him a great deal, prefering a relaxed life where he did not have to worry about pressure or achievement.
Eventually he would come to across a full time job which he would enjoy, working in a shelter for stray and abandoned animals, where he would assist in cleaning, feeding and helping care for injured animals. This perfectly suited Daniel as he cared deeply for animals. Working with them led him to a great empathy with the animals whom the shelter helped and it led to a further fascination with animals and convinced him to go back to studying and to apply himself harder so that he would be able to study to become a vetrianarian so he could help animals even further.
Not long after he returned to education, a chance encounter with a number of street thugs in the employ of a local gang brought him to the point of death but also brought him into contact with the the power hidden within the genetic structure of his body.
One night as he made his way back from work, he would take a short cut that passed by various enclaves and otherwise enclosed places. As he passed by one particular closed off space, a commotion caught his attention and curiosity made him look in to see what the commotion was. Within there was a group of people, three of them. Two of them were standing over a third man, whom was laying flat down on the floor, in the back of the man's head was a gorey hole, blood and elements of brains drenching the dead man's hair and the ground around the dead man. The standing men, one with a pistol held in one hand seemed to be discussing what to do with the dead man until the noise of wretching caused them to spot Daniel.
As one of the men yelled, Daniel would turn and bolt, trying desperately to escape the two men, running through the alleyway, trying to escape. A moment of blind panic caused him to turn into a dead end. As the two men approached and as the fear and panic built within his chest, his heart racing faster and faster, something changed, a genetic trigger had been activated..
The last memory he had before passing out was of a pain shooting through his body and in the corner of his eye he imagined seeing a blurred image of a grey wolf padding out of the shadows of the dark alley way...
When he awoke next he was curled up naked on his bed. As he woke up, he was almost instantly assaulted by dozens of scents he had previously never noticed, the hint of linger deodorant, the hint of car exhaust that came even from the closed wind, even the smell of left over food from the kitchen in his small apartment. For the moment he was only able to lay there, the scents overwhelming his mind. As he lay there, looking around for a moment he would begin to notice something else. He was no longer able to see any colours in the objects around him. All he was able to see was black and white.
After a while of laying there, he would eventually push himself to his feet and slowly begin to navigate about his room. Fortunately the floor of his room was light and he was able to see most objects on the floor though it was still slow going. As he went he would begin to notice slight variations in the black and white, shades of grey were becoming visible as he adjusted to the new conditions. Making his way into the lounge of his small apartment, he would collapse onto the sofa and turn on the television..
Turning to a news station, he was surprised to find a local story being reported. It was the details of a gruesome set of attacks that had been in a local area. The first dead person was shown to have been shot once in the back of the head then left. This sent a chill down Daniel's spine, he had seen that, he remembered being chased and hiding, but nothing else. As the story went further, it would begin to describe the second attack that happened not to far away, this time two men, one who had been carrying a gun, had received fatal injuries consistent with an animal attack. One of them men, the one carrying the gun had the hand that the gun was in almost bitten off before having his throat torn out. The second man had seem to flee before being caught being something, brutally savaged then also having his throat torn out...
Daniel began to wonder if that wolf he had thought he had seen the previous night had been responsible for the attacks on the two other men, but it did not make sense to him, the wolves were unlikely to enter a city and unlikelier still to be in this far into a city. Shaking his head for a moment, a buzz went off from nearby, his alarm clock warning him that he would soon have to head to work.
When he was at home, the scents were certainly strong to his suddenly changed sense of smell but at the animal shelter, it was beyond comparison and bewildering. He was able to catch the scent of every animal in there, the fear, the excrement, the food, the scent of medicine were among the myriad scents he was able to catch. The assault of scents was so ferocious that he almost seemed to go into shock, beginning to hyperventilate. After some assistance from one of the co-workers and a few moments, his breathing would begin to return to normal. The co-worker who had assisted him then made a comment that seemed to startle Daniel. Asking if Daniel had dyed his hair, as it was different than it had been before, grey with white streaks. He realized this was a similar colour to the wolf he had thought he had seen that night...
After work, he was drawn back to the place where the attacks had taken place. Already the bodies had been removed and the crime scene had been cleaned up but that was merely the superficial side of the scene. He could pick up the faint scent of blood at the two seperate sites. As he approached site where he seen the wolf just before passing out, he would begin to look around for signs of a place the wolf could have come from, but there was no other entry to the alcove than the one he had entered in.
Finding a place a sit in the alcove, he would settle down to think, trying to visualise the wolf he had seen that night. Closing his eyes he would form an image of the wolf in his mind, trying to clear up the image in his head. As the vision of the wolf became clearer in his mind, an ache would suddenly start to throb within his bones, as the vision became clearer, throbbing would become stronger turning into as a sharp pain ripped it way through his body. His world would go black briefly. When he woke again, the world felt different around him, the visual prespective, the feeling of the ground underneath his feet, all four of them..
A few tentative steps forward on all four legs would bring him close to an dumpster with fragments of broken glass scattered about. Looking into one of the larger fragments, the reflection that greeted him was shocking. The reflection that greeted him was the wolf he had seen that night. He tried to shout out in surprise, but all that came forth was a lupine yelp. The shock of the new form and the realization that the attack on the two men in the alleyway was his doing..
As he stumbled there for a moment, trying to figure out what happened too him, how he became this way. Unbidden, a thought of how he looked normally came to mind, and the same sharp pain ripped through his body and once again blacking out. As he once again came to, he would find himself once again naked, but this time in the middle of the alcove. Looking about for a moment, he would retrieve his clothes that he had shed when changing.
Dressing again and looking about, hoping that he had not been seen, he would make his way quickly home. He needed time, space to figure out what was going on with him, what happened to give him this odd power, these odd changes.
Weapons – Human : None Wolf : Fangs, Powerful Jaw, Claws
General Abilities
Human – As a human, his abilities focus on his ability to see and smell as a wolf does, this comes with both the advantages and disadvantages, as he is not able to precieve colour properly, only black, white and shades of grey. The main power he has, is the ability to shapeshift at will into the form of a Grey Wolf.
Other than these abilites, he has no other particular abilites, unable to defend himself as a human.
Wolf – As a wolf, he has the same abilites one would expect of a wolf, but coupled with human mind, letting him perform more complex actions and make better decisions than a normal wolf.
TF preferences – My idea for the TF relates directly too his ability to shapeshift. I was thinking as a result of the Y day even, he would become stuck in his wolf shape, unable to change back into his human form, and because of this, he loses the ability to hold onto a regular life in quite the same way, as well as losing the ability to communicate with people until he finds an alternative way of communicating. As well as this, because he is stuck as a wolf for longer than average, he may end up adopting more animal characteristics.
