*Callista is forced to hold on to her weapon with both hands to keep from losing her grip. It is taking considerable effort for her to stay upright, but the look in her eyes doesn't go away.*

[Circe]

*Circe starts panthing.* Not... Not bad... But not... good enough. Thundara! *Circe points at Callista, firing a bolt of lightning at her.*

*Strength almost zapped from the unlocking and usage of one of her best attacks, Callista can do little more but raise the weapon feebly as the lightning strikes her. Her HP counter fluctuates wildly for a bit as she stubbornly remains standing, then finally gives in as she falls onto her side.*

CA: Zero

*The battle music fades out, and the arena's barrier disappears. Any collateral damage done, except for the imprint in the ceiling, vanishes as well. Circe's health is restored to normal. Callista's weapon morphs back into its normal purse form. In the background, Aldonza and Amber both applaud.*

Mary, having silently watched the battle, begins to applaud, as well.

*The attending maqids applaud as well, with the exception of two, who run over to Callista's unconcious form, carrying first-aid kits.* Thank you, everyone. Thank you.

*Callista's breathing remains steady. The injuries that the Dr. Pepper didn't heal are evident, even though her costume itself is undamaged.*

*checks off something* Let's see... her record for Committee-sanctioned fights now stands at 1-2 since her humanization. Can't say she didn't try, though.

Amber: And the boss of the house has won both of her matches against us thus far.

*Circe goes back to the table she was sitting at before. Meanwhile, one of the maids with Callista starts tending to her wounds, while the other goes to report to Amber and Aldonza.* Don't worry, her injuries aren't that bad. I'd say she'll back to normal in a few days.

[Cloaked Figure]

Outside the main gates to Circe's manor, a cloaked figure appears. Walking up to the front gates, the cloaked figure checks to see if the gate is unlocked or not.

*The gates... seem to be locked!*

*Circe goes back to the table she was sitting at before. Meanwhile, one of the maids with Callista starts tending to her wounds, while the other goes to report to Amber and Aldonza.* Don't worry, her injuries aren't that bad. I'd say she'll back to normal in a few days.

*nods* Okay. Thank you, maid-san. *thinks* I imagine it probably won't take her long to regain consciousness, but just to be safe... Is there someplace she'd be able to rest until she either wakes up or it's time for us to go, whichever comes first?

The figure mumbles for a moment, before looking around for any sort of doorbell on the outside gate.

*nods* Okay. Thank you, maid-san. *thinks* I imagine it probably won't take her long to regain consciousness, but just to be safe... Is there someplace she'd be able to rest until she either wakes up or it's time for us to go, whichever comes first?

Of course. *The maid bows, then heads back to Callista to help with the bandaging. Once that's done, the two maids carry Callista off to one of the guest bedrooms.*

The figure mumbles for a moment, before looking around for any sort of doorbell on the outside gate.

*And it finds one!*

Amber: *sips from a glass of fruit punch as she looks on* I doubt her self-esteem will be hurt too much from this. That's the closest she's come to an actual victory in almost two years.

*shrugs, then nods* Well, that was fun to watch. I hope the fight's structure didn't seem too rigid, though.

I have to admit, she put up a pretty good fight.

Finding a doorbell, the cloaked figure presses the button and waits.
