Fable: The Ties that Bind (RP Thread)

Aloena accepts her share of the gifts from the traders and hands some to Lyon, the young man who helped her and Cletus..."So, Cletus, is it not...Good job out there....you two.." she indicates Lyon. "Anyway, that girl who showed up....she mentioned her mother and father wished to see us. That would be Guildmaster Crimson, and Guildmistress Scarlet, to us." So, the guildmasters have a daughter....this would be an interesting development... she thought to herself...

[Haylie]

Katt, having done her job, disappears back into the morning shadows of the trees. The Traders' praises can be heard for several hundred feet after, calling the three Hero's names. Some contend themselves with kicking the Balverine's corpse.

Meanwhile, back with the three, several booms can be heard in the distance. It's difficult to tell from where, but they sound relatively close...

Aloena heads off to the Heroes guilod, grinning at the trader's praising their names..."Wow, we actually made a difference out there, Cletus, right? I'm Aloena. Who's your other friend?"

[Shadowmaster]

Lyon takes the prizes. "What's that noise?" he says, refering to the booming noise.

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena hears the loud noises..."Cannot be thunder...what do you want to do? The guildmasters want us to come back to the guild, yet there is some strange noises we can investigate...hmmm...decisions, decisions..."

[Haylie]

Several more screams can be heard, but not the high-pitched call of "oh God, we're gonna die". This is more of a battle cry, coming from the same direction of the explosions.

Aloena nods and stores the loot she got from the traders in her pack..."So, what are we going to do? Report this to the Guildmasters? Investigate this disturbance ourselves?"

[muffinstud]

"Well, we are heros, are we not? If anything, we should find out what it is to make sure the Guild gets the right information." He heads off towards the booms. "And it's a pleasure, Aloena. But I'm afraid I'm not aquainted with you, sir..." Cletus points at Lyon.

[Haylie]

Before another word can be spoken, an arrow flies about an inch in front of Cletus's nose and sticks in the ground not far away. A curse can be heard in one of the trees.

"Damn! I missed! Stupid oak crossbow!"

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena holds Cletus back as the arrow sailed past him..."Yikes, that was a close one! We almost ran into a trap!" Sher looks around for any sign of the person who fired that arrow. "Where do you think that arrow came from?"

[Shadowmaster]

"I'm Lyon." He says to Cletus. After seeing the arrow, he holds his blade, ready to strike. "Well, this day is getting off to a great start."

[Haylie]

Suddenly, a snapping sound is heard and something that looks remarkably like a Bandit drops from a nearby tree to land several yards away from the bunch. He groans and lays motionless, but he doesn't seem dead.

[Kris_Roth]

Aloena sees what appears to be a bandit on the ground..."So, that's the guy that attempted a shot at us. Cletus, you have any rope? Maybe we can tie him up and get some information out of him."

[Lanzerus]

Keaton wanders into the guild looking pleased with himself. " After traveling for a year, i finally made it." He stands at the gate and knocks once to see if anyone will answer " Hello Gaurds, I am Traveller Keaton Darrian, I was wondering what was required to join your guild!"

[Haylie]

The only guards present are two statues on either side of the door and a title vendor to Keaton's left, and he completely ignores him. A small, barely audible explosion comes from beyond the large wooden doors. They appear to be open.
