They are not trying to stop people from reincarnating. They aren't actually that stupid. What they are trying to do is control who the next Dali llama is.

The gist of it is, is that the DL "chooses" who he reincarnates into. If China "controls" reincarnation, they can control who the next DL is (technically) and then use their DL to help them better control Tibet.

I'm betting that the current government won't survive to do so, finally the economics are talking about the same cr@yola I've been warning y'all is to come, economically, and the US boycott of China is kicking off sooner than I could have predicted due to Chinese stupidity (poisonings), without the US consumption of Chinese goods, and the failure of the US dollar's value, China faces a HUGE economic crash, far worse than ours will be. As is they're battling mass poisonings and civil uprisings all over the place theyr'e trying to keep hush hush...

EDIT: please note that I'm not predicting a free China, I'm predicting that quite a few of these mofos are going to watch their security details get overrun, and dragged, kicking and screaming from their hidey holes and killed in the street.

Only a few will stick around to hang onto power.

Be nice if China freed itself, but I don't have any faith in the Chinese people to do that, they seem far too cowed.
