I can understand the appeal of convenience, but I'm not all interested in convenience. I go for months without bathing, have a poor diet, fail to exercise and don't take pills or medicine except for when it's for something really serious (which has been years), and yet I'm not plagued by any illnesses. I'm just saying that, with enough effort, a lot of conveniences used habitually can be pointless.
Besides, pirates these days can do their work in the comfort of their own home. XD And even if they go to prison, the environment there is a lot better then it had used to be, back when pirates were still roaming the seas. Those French had some nasty places, in particular, but you get the idea. In this modern age the pirate and ninja (assassin) are different from how they had started out.

Internet pirates suck, and with any luck they'll all be hung from the neck until dead! >_<

Tell me, do old timey cannons still pack a whallop?
