Originality isn't as important as cleverness. I could just call you Cook, and it would be original because it makes no sense and isn't clever at all, and thus nobody would think of it, nor would it catch on.
ANYBODY can be original; all you have to do is come up with something so stupid or repulsive that no one else would utter it. Being clever is harder. Being clever AND original is best, but given the choice, I'll happily take clever.

As I see it, while a Spammaster should have at least some blatant showmanship, there are many ways to do that. Plus, my arrogance could also be seen as delusion, which is also a nice trait to have as a Spammaster. It takes cleverness and originality to express the same traits differently.
