With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore

Postby Amy-chan » Thu Dec 14, 2006 7:27 am

((I wrote the following in an IM session as a Christmas present to Kerina.))

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the city,
boys were being boys (which some thought a pity).

The ovalisks were snuggled all warm in their nest.
With Zappy hugs that they do the best.

While Nina in her motley and Kerina in her gown,
worried together at all the males around

When outside the house there was such a clamor,
that they both sprang to action with magic and glamour

They held back their wrath, for what did they see?
But a beautiful Aetnenalae chasing boys 'round a tree.

The Aet saw them looking and broke off the chase,
letting the last one escape (which he did with much haste).

She walked through the wall and into the room,
and said "I am here to grant you a boon".

"They call me St. ZapsToALass, for reasons most know.
Those that don't I gladly will show

Then she gave them a wink and a cute little giggle,
and said "When I'm through the 'boys' walk with a wiggle."

She clasped both their hands and glowed quite bright,
and then faded completely from their sight.

But they still heard her voice as they started Zapping away,
"Zap all the world. And start right today."

Or more accurately, the author of the original poen that inspired this.... Very clever, I must say. Nice bit of parody.
Adding to the magical kitten girl army...one huggle at a time mraa

Indeed, I never expected such.

Although I'm not a fan of either Ovalisks or Aeternal-whatevers, that's pretty sharp. ;D

Must take quite of bit of creativity to both get all that to rhyme and to make it all come together so seamlessly like that.^^

I felt that this line...

Chibi Amanda wrote:Then she gave them a wink and a cute little giggle,
and said "When I'm through the 'boys' walk with a wiggle."

...summed up the sense playful mischief running throuout the poem quite cleverly. :D
