This was originally for my deviantArt page. I got tired of seeing everyone drawing these warrior type-girls in such small and/or revealing clothes, which is TOTALLY unrealistic. So I drew this as a more realistic take on the subject.
You can think of it as a guy that suddenly turned into a girl while in his combat uniform if you want

  lol
thought I would post it. It's one of the very few anime pics I have done, and one of the only one that really fits the theme of the site *sorta*.

I like lots! The pose is quite natural, and it's refreshing to see a female fighter-character dressed in a realistic manner.

Now that's good. Great job on that pic. And I have to agree: Those clothes are so unrealistic at times. But... that's just a wandering mind. Good job. *2x thumbs up*

... And that's yet another wandering mind.
Beyond, we all like those, but there's a time for everything. *tries to bat away temptation*

I never really gave it much thouhgt, really. I know that I would wear something that is easy to move around in; Could it vary for person to person?
Some could wear skirts or shorts, but, for everyhting I do, I prefer pants over everything else ^_^

Modern Military uniforms are light and very maneuverable. Plus wearing some kind of kevlar armor will prevent you from being shot / stabbed / hit, etc. Actually it wont PREVENT it per say, it will just make it non-lethal.
can it vary from person to person?
When that happens your a sloppy mess. A gaggle of dis-organized wanna be's. - NOT an army!
Keep in mind this was done on dA as a response to the flood of scantily clad female warriors of some future fantasy land. Blarrrrr its so unrealistic. I know fantasy isnt supposed to be, but - it seems kinda objectifying, to me at least. There is NO PRACTICAL REASON to go into combat almost naked. NONE WHATSOEVER. In real life that is.

Unless you're Boudica's Britons. Their only mistake was attacking the Roman Army the way they did... ;D

In my brother's D&D campaigns, he has a character feat that pokes fun at this notion, called "Less Is More," so that certain characters can get extra bonuses for wearing increasingly revealing attire in battle. Never seen anyone take it, but I find the satirical aspect of it amusing nonetheless.
