One word - Limericks ^^ (of a gender-changy sort or if you have one that isn't, it's ok)

They usually run 9 to 11 syllables for two lines (there's more technical terms but they always confused me)

Then two lines 5 to 7 syllables

And an ending line of 9 to 11

The two beginning lines and last lines rhyme. And the shorter two lines have a different matching rhyme

or AABBA (A being one rhyme and B being another)

EX

The limerick packs laughs anatomical
Into space that is quite economical.

But the good ones I've seen
So seldom are clean

And the clean ones so seldom are comical.

And also

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.

But his daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man

And as for the bucket, Nantucket.

But do keep in mind fund is more important than structure...like so...

A decrepit old gas man named Peter,
While hunting around for the meter,
Touched a leak with his light.
He arose out of sight,
And, as anyone can see by reading this, he also destroyed the meter.

Well, I'll give this a try despite understanding little of how to do it. ^_^;

A traveler once came to MSF
And with the food he was very impressed
So he struck up a deal
Only then did he squeal
Becoming a female assistant chef

Terrible, I know, but I took a whack at it. Oi... Deja vu. @_@

My turn:

Meow meow meow pur meow
mew mew mew meow meow meow
pur mew pur mew pur
mew mew pur pur pur
Meow pur mew, mew mew pur pur meow

Now for those of you who don't speak cat:

There once was a kid who found this site
Could not break free with all of his might
Changes soon did come
His brain going numb
But her body never put up a fight

That is all I got. Cut me a break. This stuff is not as easy as it sounds.

There once was a strapping young lad
Who thought MSF was a fad
Didn't know that his gender
Was now forfeit, surrender
Now he's mourning the parts that he had

A young girl did play hide and seek-o
Inside a strange box she did peek-o
But, the magic in that
Changed her right where she sat
Now that pretty young girl is a neko
