The Cost of Mercy (Off-site Novel)

The best introduction, really, is to read the Preface of my novel. I had said in my last post of my captions topic that I had a novel prepared, and was thinking of submitting it here, so, here it is. Consider this a New Year's present, I suppose. I do hope you enjoy reading it. It's still a work-in-progress, but the chapters aren't too lengthy (about three to five pages printed, usually). Please note that the site I submit to messes up my indentation and other markup.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them here. I may even be obliged to write up commentaries on newer chapters, as this is the only real forum that I could do that. I go through a lot of work and research to get my facts somewhere near true and plausible.
