Ooooh! I've picked up doing MSF-related art again, thanks to my need to learn CGIllust. From strips 3 and above (not posted yet),
Always Tomorrow is done entirely by tablet using CGIllust to draw/color each panel, and Photoshop to put it all together and add the text. So it's been pushing me to learn how to better use a tablet (it's been collecting dust for half a year since I got it. =p), so I figured I might as well draw someone's character for an exercise. =D
Sadly, my work on it has been interrupted by the need to run errands that take me away from my computer. But I can at least post a "progress" image!
Who could it be?
See? That's how I'm trying to color things now. I used to always use Photoshop and just use paintbucket or lasso tool to fill in an area with color. Now that I'm doing everything on computer, I can actually have the outline as another layer, which makes coloring underneath much easier. =) Now it's a matter of erasing meticulously instead of coloring in meticulously. Blah. =o
Those smudges in the upper left corner make up my palette so far. =I I also turned down the opacity of the rough-sketch layer, so it doesn't look -quite- as messy, but it still lets you see my sketchiness. XD
I'll get back to coloring it tonight, hopefully. =>
Note: Always Tomorrow updates on a MWF schedule, and I promise, it doesn't look _as_ crappy by strip five! Shameless plug. =D
