Some doodles I came up with yesterday

Look, it's Naru! xD
I went out of a limb here. Since I don't know how she looks, I just drew her how I thought she looked.


...Man, want I wouldn't do for some color... =.=

Colored Pencils work great if you got some when you're bored. Trust me, it's what I used when I started out coloring my sketches.

I was thinking the same thing... what kind of colored pencils then?

Prismacolor works well. Good for shading and such.

Those work nicely, but I have something called "Ergosoft." I got them at Staples.

What's funny about the Naru picture, is you just did something to fit her personality, but actually got close to the traditional anime version as well. You gave her one "antenna" strand above her bangs. The real one has two. So, how did you know how to do the antenna thing?

Also, I think this gets her personality a lot better. My Naru may be modeled after the anime version, but she has developed into much more than that. I haven't once found a picture that captures her playful nature quite like this.

As for the Naru picture, I had to think of something very Naru. So I came up with this... As for the antenna thing, well I just had to make hair styles defferent from one another. Zoey has honey blond hair and uses it long, Plus if you look close enough in most pictures she has a strand of hair always infront on her face. Sakura is same style, but I darken the hair since her color is purple... I think. For Naru same again similar style, darkened hair cause she's brown right? The star pin to give it more uniqueness and the little antenna to make it look different from Sakura's hair.

I do these things to make them look a bit different since I don't color my sketches and to personalize them.

P.S. I googled Naru... I was so close! xD
I didn't know she was a real anime character.

Though I can't really see Sakura doing anything like that as she is now, I have to admit that that's a badass picture.

Sakura: Zoey do these... "panties" belong to you?
Zoey (in her mind): Where the hell did you get those?!
Chibi Naru: I don't think they are Sakura. After all a manly man like Zoey would never wear something that frilly, rigth Zoey?
Zoey (in her mind): Someone kill me...

So yeah... Lame joke.
