Hey, I was self-taught, and frankly, mine sucked.

All you need is a procedure. Start with something like a wire figure so you can get a basic idea for their pose, then add flesh, clothing, and minor detail. That's all.

Hmmm, I was thinking about getting one of those desk/table top wooden mannequins to use, but I decided later that that would limit my ability to draw at school, It would make drawing obvious.

"Keaton what are you doing with that out?"

"nothing...just studying...."

"With a sketchpad? Detention."

They don't look too bad for you being a first time drawer.

Try using other pictures as reference. Find a picture of a pose you like and try to copy it and so forth, until you can do it from scratch. Same goes for anything else, thats how I learned.
"Let me confirm, your shelter shield is activated?"
"What are you planning?!"
"Your shelter is secure, is it?"
"Of course it is! Just see for yourself how powerless you are!"
"...Roger that."

My skills have improved by leaps by observing my friend draw, unfortunately, I gave them away as late birthday gifts...so no new arts, and I have been busy over the last...several weeks.
