Nope. I find it silly that people put specific ages and genders to things, cause there's always a good amount of people that don't fit those groups that will enjoy such things.
I personally would still be playing my original blue version, but it got lost years ago durring my moving around... And nowdays I just haven't gotten around to buying a pokemon game

I have... all of em. Well, at least one from each generation.
My silver version is busted... which ticked me off. It wont save... everytime I turn it off it erases all my info >.<
I still have my old Red version... Leafgreen... Emerald... and Pearl. Those are the ones that belong to me. I borrowed some others from my friends.
I am planning someday to get my hands on Crystal to replace my silver version... its just so hard to find now...
Pokemon cards I gave up on when they introduced the next generation... which had new powers that totally stomped the deck I had. That REALLY ticked me off.
And if you were wondering... my all-time favorite pokemon is Snorlax. The dude came in gen 1 and only has gotten sexier over the games. With pearl I am geeking out that I can get a Munchlax...

Never too old to play Pokemon! :D It's just a darn fun game.
I guess some people would find it odd that I'm a 21 year old girl who plays it, but I dun care. They can bite me. >X3

As with Stellar, I more or less think the same about age groups versus activities. But if you want to look at it another way, I'm twenty-five, still a dependent, never had a job, and my young heart and weary mind are often at war. You've got it good, as far as I can tell.

Yeah, but I am a 20 year old GUY. I know you can cry "sexism" but guy friends think alot more when one of their friends is still playing a kiddie game with cute critters. One of em loves to give me no end of grief. He is an ok guy... but he loves getting on my case. Totally fine when we are playing Halo 3 and blowing crap up awesomely... but when he sees me playing my gameboy he loves ripping off into a tirade.
Of couse... my OTHER friend is about my age... and is a more pokefreak than I am. The guy breeds his pokemon so intensly... I am surprised the critters dont have genetic diseases. XD

If they innovated more than they did in between generations of games I'd probably still be playing.

Building on what Rowan said, it'd also help if I had the money to buy games.
But I don't. Sad world, I know.

No, Pokemon is a quality game series with aspects that appeal to all age ranges and social groups. It's got the cute and fuzzy for the kinder care, the organization and stat and level building for the adults. It's a well done franchise. Plus for people around you, me and Musa's age, it was ours to begin with. It's something we grew up with and part of our personal histories.
Now, what I find sad is the insistence that...

Oh, and old Gold, Silver and Crystal carts don't work now unless you replace the internal batteries. That's truly sad as they were my favorite generation game...and Gamefreak still owes me that skateboard they advertised would be in it!

Pokemon owned my soul all summer. The only reason I'm currently not playing it is Metroid distracted me from it. I believe in Pearl I own...280 or so. I have all the legendaries(except event only ones), all the starters (from each generation), and...wait for it...
A feebas.
That's right, I spent two days to catch that one stupid fish. >.<
Nope, not sad that your playing it. Oh, and my Infernape shall own you Wigglytuff.

i've got pokemon diamond, picked it cause i didnt want a pink mecha-godzilla, and i enjoy it. I think the last one i played before this was the one that made it super easy to get that water dog whos name escapes me. really like this new global trade system but i am nowhere near anyone to use the underground effectivly
