I haven't noticed much of a difference during the last month. Even though many have had their time sapped by high school and college. I also haven't seen any oldies beyond Sakura post around lately, though not much. Unless the moderator's room is actually getting some activity.

As for IRC... *Kicks it in the NUTZ! LOLOLOLzZz*

...What am I then? I KNOW I'm not chopped liver. I've made my recent return (again) to the boards.

But are you really an oldie? Do you predate the existence of these forums? (Jan. '04)

I'm off by about a month. So, almost. I'm almost to my five-year mark on MSF

Not old enough, sunshine. ;p It seems that you need to come from the EZboard generation, at the very least.

And that's the way I like it. The younger, the better.

At least that way Karm can't tease me about being an oldie. :P

Then just call everyone older than you an oldie, and then you can call more people old :P

When the captions dissapeared, the site began to die.

But then that would eventually make me an oldie, if I were to establish a place between who is old and young. For one, that would mean that, at the start, I wouldn't be young, since I act as a divide. Second, as more new people come to MSF, the more I'll be pushed from the center of the age groups and thus into oldiedom, whereupon someone slightly younger than me would have to act as the divide.

But I can stay young forevers if we establish that anyone that arrived after EZboards isn't considered an oldie. ;p

Angie:

Maybe. Didn't seem to make much of a difference with how many people view and comment in the captions forum, though. So it's hard to tell how many really care about the captions, compared to other things.

Well, I'm in a major crunch at work designing social networking sites, but if anyone still involved with the site administration is interested, I can and will write the code to make the site work again, like I said I would years ago. And unlike then, I'm not in a super depression, doubting my own abilities, or looking for excuses not to do anything; I'm getting paid to do things like this (and getting repeatedly called in for major overtime), so clearly I'm VERY VERY good at it...

man, people keep saying "oh lawd MSF is dead" I get my poking stick to come poke it...and when I get here, its not dead. thats a huge let down folks.

I've lost count of all the times people have said MSF is dead. it hasn't happened yet, but, next year, people will say it, and the year after that. They said it last year, the year before that, the year before that.

We're still here.

Of course, nothing new will happen (from me) for the next ten days, I will be very internetless. But I will return (tanned) and ready to do things.

Selly: I already told you you can contact me

It's a matter of perspective, is all, Xia. We each have different requirements that need to be met. Sure, some in the past have spouted the word "dead", when things were merely going wrong for them or the community. People have said that it's "dying", which I think is true. But as far as its spirit goes, and its original intentions, I think it's dead right now. Not incapable of being revived, but still dead. Even the integrity of MSF's PG-13 atmosphere has taken blows from the filth that can be found out there.
