Life's little challenges is all that it is. Ninja and their conveniences. ;p

What can I say? That's why I'd prefer to be one.
At least when you're not stealthily infiltrating guarded strongholds you'll get to live in the lap of luxury.

Define lap of luxury. But I guess having at least some amenities and security is about as luxurious as a commoner could expect to have. I can understand the appeal of convenience, but I'm not all interested in convenience. I go for months without bathing, have a poor diet, fail to exercise and don't take pills or medicine except for when it's for something really serious (which has been years), and yet I'm not plagued by any illnesses. I'm just saying that, with enough effort, a lot of conveniences used habitually can be pointless.

Besides, pirates these days can do their work in the comfort of their own home. XD And even if they go to prison, the environment there is a lot better then it had used to be, back when pirates were still roaming the seas. Those French had some nasty places, in particular, but you get the idea. In this modern age the pirate and ninja (assassin) are different from how they had started out.

We're talking about sea pirates, not internet pirates.
Internet pirates suck, and with any luck they'll all be hung from the neck until dead! >_<

Although the internet does have all the piracy, none of the scurvy, I think I'd rather be all sneaky like, indetectable to mere mortals through camoflouge and moving really slowly.

Ooh, and you get a cool mask and shoes, too.

See, there's no difference between sea pirates and Internet pirates because people can want them both dead by hanging. Of course, pirates were known for doing a lot worse than Internet pirates and probably deserved to be hanged. Either way, I do believe that my plan to be the only pirate lubber is working. Don't vote for pirate at your own peril!

You all do know that pirates, the sea variety, do still exist right?

Of course they do, but I think many of these peoples have their minds in bygone eras. :D

Yeah, but they're pretty rare.
Still, I guess there are more of them then there are Ninja...

That's it! If I ever get a ship that can venture into International Waters I'm arming it!

Tell me, do old timey cannons still pack a whallop?

I would imagine that they do, but most modern pirates I think wind up using rpgs and the like. Cheap and easy to pick up through the lovely black markets of the world. That or possibly a flare gun and quite a bit of trickery and snazzy shooting skills.

As long as you're not fighting a modern warship, or a container ship or tanker, they should do fine; few ships see the value in armor nowadays.
