Nokel, Dark Angel of Shadows and the Abyss

(All right, it was about time Nokel got his own topic since he's pretty much turned into his own beast ever since I first created him over a year ago)

Detection of New, Unknown Life Form... Investigate? Y/N?

Analysis of Concentrated Darkness Manifestation
Codenamed: Angel of Darkness, Angel of Abyss
Alias: Nokel: "Night of God"

Visual Analysis
Height: 1.9 meters (6 feet, 2 inches)
Wingspan: 7.4 meters (24 feet)
Mass: Indeterminant, being's physical composition lacks true mass.
Build: Lean and Athletic
Hair Color: Black
Hair Length: Varies from short and spikey, to as long as to its feet. Current gender often affects the length of the hair.
Eye Color: Dark Red
Complexion: Pale
Wing Color: Black as night, it's almost impossible to discern individual feathers at times.
Gender: Male, usually. His present gender seems to matter little to him.
Physical Age: Adult
True Age: Unknown due to inconsistencies of physical composition, it has hinted at being incredibly ancient due to knowledge of the Celestial City, Yu-Shan.
Dress: Clothing that seems to match with the styles of those around him, but often featuring reds and blacks. He is often wearing an unknown robe that molds to Nokel's will, and reshapes into a variety of clothing that has been shown to be helpful with stealth.
Demeanor: Nokel is calm, composed and calculating. Ruthless in battle, and nonchalant to threats, his sheer force of personality often belittles his opponents, winning the battle before it has even begun. Only known to speak through spiritual communication, his voice is projected as being forward and powerful, commonly shaking "listeners" to the core.

Origin: Nokel at first appeared to be the "negative" of Helel, but upon seizing Helel's body as his own after Helel's Soul was placed into Sora's body. Nokel's existence no longer seems tied to Helel's, leaving him free to do as he so wills.

Affiliation: Nokel appears to have numerous alliances with other fallen angels known as the "Deathlords." The beings, though hardly tight-knit, appear to have granted him numerous resources of manpower, magitech, and information to aid his objectives. Rumor has it, these beings were of the same Angelic House as Nokel himself, before their defeat during the Rebellion and being cast into Dis.

DataLog: To date, all previous information must be assumed to be a lie, for this immensely powerful being has managed to warp reality's perception of him to match his purposes. In order to understand Nokel, one must first accept one simple fact: Nokel is a Monster. His personality, actions, and origin all reflect upon this simple fact.

Bent on destroying every and anything that stands between him and his desires, this "angel" has the powers, and recently, found to have the followers and allies to accomplish his hidden agenda. The only question that remains is what does he so desire?

Threat Level: Extreme. Approach with severe caution and planning. Nokel has demonstrated a vast array of advanced fighting techniques, as well as a deep understanding in various sorcerous and magitech wonders. Never approach alone, or the risk of Nokel picking apart one's mind and soul increases significantly, depending on his ire.

OCC Inspirations for Nokel: Hellsing, Vampire Hunter D, Exalted: The Abyssals, Castlevania, Karas, Bleach, Claymore

OOC Notice: This is a repost from the part about Nokel's weapon, Karas, but regardless, this is a blatant warning to those who consider tossing their characters at Nokel in battle:

Note: In all seriousness, Nokel is not meant for dueling people one on one, so if his weapon seems obnoxiously overpowered, that's because it is. Nokel and his weapon are being used exclusively for story purposes, and as such, nothing less than five incredibly powerful beings can expect to fight Nokel and not be killed almost instantly. Fortunately, Nokel isn't too pugnacious, so the most a merry band will have to suffer is a shattered will to fight, or terrible fear of Nokel and Karas.

(more to come!)

Further Analysis of Concentrated Darkness Manifestation completed...

Analysis of Nokel's Abilities: With recent activity of Nokel, further investigation has been completed for the analysis of Nokel's physical and spiritual abilities.

Supernatural Martial Abilities: Nokel has been shown to be proficient with at least two forms of supernatural martial arts forms, and a bladed weapon style which he uses to great effect with his other enhanced abilities.

Superhuman Strength: Even with his bare hands, and unaided by magical reinforcement, the dark angel has been shown to crush normal steel and shatter armor with unarmed attacks.

Reinforced Stamina: It appears that Nokel has the ability to withstand enormous amounts of damage with no significant penalty on his ability to move. This may be due to his physical prowess, or perhaps sorcerous enchantments layered on his body.

Regeneration: Despite numerous encounters which appeared to have damaged Nokel's body severely, whenever he next appears, he seems to be able to make a full recovery. The extent and speed of his regenerative abilities to this date remain unknown.

Flight: By means of using his wings as magical engines, Nokel has been known to fly at high speeds, with incredibly manuverability. This characteristic appears to be shared by many angels, in that he does not physically "flap" is wings, but rather focuses magical energy into the wings, which are then expelled from the feathers in the form of thrust.

Manipulation of Shadows: Nokel has demonstrated on numerous accounts varying control over shadows, darkness, and absence of light. Forming monsters, protective barriers, and even weapons, this ability seems to know no bounds. It is not advisable to engage Nokel in places of great darkness, as his abilities in such areas appear to be greatly improved in all areas.

Deadly Intent: Those who face this dark angel must be prepared to face the effects of his almost sufficating presence. The effects of this ability appears to draw only from his immense spiritual energies with Nokel's immense mental focus. The result is that any being within Nokel's presence to experience immense discomfort and fear, forcing them into the role of the "prey". This does not cause a particular victim to lose all common sense, but forces them to flee with their wits guiding them. Any who succumb to this role of "prey" are at a severe disadvantage if attempting to fight against Nokel.

Feast on Blood: Nokel has demonstrated on the being "Tyr" that he has the capability to drink blood, and through that blood, mimic or improve his capabilities. In the case of when the dark angel drank from Tyr, he appeared to gain the ability to corrupt the "Psi" soul of subject "Helel", and press said soul in his service. For the time being, whether or not this is an actual effect, or if the blood just provides him with additional energy is currently unknown.

Corrupt Beings: The dark angel, by means of dark magicks, has branded and corrupted numerous beings in the past, with increasingly complexity and power over those he has corrupted. The degree to which this ability will "improve" is unknown, and requires further research.

Sorcery: Nokel appears to have a vast knowledge of sorcery, but has only demonstrated a few, minor spells in the past. It is believed that he at least possesses all the spells that Helel knows, either from his time hidden in Helel's body, or perhaps from before being sealed away.

Time Manipulation: Nokel has literally stopped time on a few instances, hinting that he may actually be an angel of fate to some degree. It is believed that he carries a great deal of control, due to his ability to alter reality, and stop time, as opposed to just speeding or slowing time. How he came to obtain this ability, which is limited to only angels of fate, is unknown, except for the previous statement about being one, himself.

Further intelligence has revealed Nokel to be in possession of a terrible weapon which has been unleashed upon obstacles numerous times before.

Analysis follows:

Weapon Name: "Karas"

Appearance: A black bladed daiklave with an eerie red glow along its edge. "Karas" appears to change forms on occasion, with it first appearing to have a narrower blade and a large hand guard and recently a smaller hand guard and a longer, more impressive blade. The physical form does not appear to subtract or add from this magical weapon's killing power.

Composition: Initial reports were confirmed that this weapon is made of Soulsteel, a terrible supernatural material that upon drawing blood, will drain magical and life energies from those it cleaves, and consume the souls of the slain.

Magical Effects:
Release Karas: By releasing a seal upon his daiklave, Nokel unveils the higher powers of his daiklave. The result is a longer, serrated blade, with red lines like coursing blood flowing from the nearly non-existent hilt of the daiklave to the individual teeth, which continually drip red fluid. Releasing Karas serves to increase it's raw killing power and ability to strike Nokel's opponents. More frightening, is the release embeds the ability to rend souls into the blade without him spending further energies to do so. Finally, Nokel must have released Karas to this state to activate "10 Years of Frigid Slashes" (see below). It believed there may be another released state of Karas, but Nokel has shown no need to release his blade further than the "initial" release as any who have tasted his unsealed blade are dead.

Maw of the Abyss: The most well known ability of Karas is consuming the souls of the slain or unprotected ghosts. To date, nothing that has been consumed has been able to escape this terrifying effect, period. This ability feeds the last vestiges of magical power from the soul into Nokel, allowing him to make use of additional abilities and magic. The most infamous case was when Nokel used the blade to slay and consume Lugh completely.

Rend Souls: By fueling Karas with magical energy, Nokel empowers its blade with the ability to tear through souls just as readily as physical flesh. Nokel generally has the magic required to activate this effect committed at any given time he draws Karas.

Wail of the Dead: The souls that were alloyed into the blade of Karas in addition to those it has consumed may be commanded to unleash an awful chorus of wails and songs of death. This effect sends typical mortals fleeing in terrible, shatters the morale of even trained soldiers, and instills the dread of annihilation into the hearts of even supernatural beings. Because it is spiritual by nature, even the deaf experience the awful cries of the dead.

Frozen Blade: The blade of "Karas" is unnaturally cold, resulting in the blade sending chills through anything it touches, and even applying heat to the blade seems to be incapable of warming the blade. Rather, the darkness of the blade feeds upon living warmth, inhibiting the ability to move. This effect can be resisted or completely negated by beings with protection from supernatural cold, or are otherwise unaffected by the cold.

Dispell Light: Karas has shown the ability to cleave even beams of light, leaving supernatural darkness in the wake of its blade. This effect last for the duration of a battle, until Nokel wills it away or some sorcerous spell counteracts this effect.

10 Years of Frigid Slashes: Not so much an effect as a technique executed while yielding Karas in a released state, the blade increases in size as terrifying red runes glow along the blade. The area of engagement instantly shifts to night, as the only light cast is from the shifting phases of the moon above settles upon it's full glory within a few moments. Nokel's 'shadow' contorts into a monstrous crow-like monster of darkness which swoops towards Nokel's prey within seconds, disappearing just as it is upon them. Time seems to stand still as the moon's aura turns black, casting the field in white noise. To Nokel's prey, time stretches on for what seems like a decade as Nokel strikes through the fabric of existence, leaving red-black cuts across the entire field and tearing through the targets- but they appear to suffer no apparent injury until time resumes. At which point, the many wounds burst open, releasing the life of those killed, and dealing grievous injury to those who somehow survive the horrifying attack. Nokel has been seen to use this technique on upwards of 50 people at one time, and slew every last one of them to the amazement and horror of the spectators.

(A great deal more to come as Nokel makes further use of his absurd abilities.)
