Ookalf's Characters (Updates Periodically)

PostPosted: Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:47 pm
by Ookalf
Name: "Ookalf" *true name unknown*

Sex: Male

Usual Clothes: Jeans, a black t-shirt with a picture of Kamen Rider 1 on it, and a wolf-skin belt. On the belt is a belt buckle in the shape of a wolf's face, carved from wolf bone.

Physical Appearance: Heavily tanned caucasian with brown hair and blue eyes, average height, fairly muscular.

Age: Unknown. Probably early to mid twenties.

Biography: Abandoned in a forest for reasons unknown to all, the infant who would be known as Ookalf was adopted by a she-wolf. Though she made it clear to him from an early age that he was not a true wolf and never would be, he didn't care. As far as he was concerned, they were family.

They lived peacefully in this manner for many years, until one day some strange creatures mysteriously appeared in the forest. They attacked the boy's mother, fatally wounding her. Their mission accomplished, they disappeared as suddenly as they came. In her final moments, the wolf explained to her son the nature of these creatures, and why they had been after her.

Once, she had been an ordinary wolf. But that changed when she was captured by agents of an organization known as Geka. They conducted cruel experiments on her, using a combination of magic and science to change her into a "super-wolf", intending to use her as the basis of an army which they would be able to use to conquer the world. One day, a member of Geka who had become disillusioned with the organization's evil intentions freed her, and helped her to hide in the forest where she would one day encounter the boy who would be her son. The creatures that had attacked her were demons, summoned by Geka to eliminate her.

She told him that once she had died, he was to make a belt from her skin, and a buckle from her bones. She then used the last of her strength to teleport herself and her son (magical super-wolf, remember?) to the home of the man who had saved her from Geka all those years ago. With that she died.

After much wacky hijinks, the wolf's son was finally calmed and clothed by the man. The son then told the man (who from here on shall be known by his name, Ryan Steinbeck) of his life, much as I have told you. After the tale was finished, Ryan asked his guest for his name. Upon realizing that the strange man had no name, (The wolf had only ever called him "Son".) he dubbed his guest Ookalf, saving the narrator a lot of awkwardness.

Ryan, a craftsman by trade, was able to create the belt that the wolf had requested. After Ookalf put it on, he was met with a surge of knowledge. By uttering the word, "Henshin", he was able to become the Kamen Rider Ookalf, the defender of justice.

Many months passed. Over this period, Ookalf battled the demons that Geka frequently summoned to attempt to kill him. He made many friends and enemies, and gained a sweet motorcycle which he dubbed the Machine Howler. After about a year of this, he discovered the location of Geka's HQ.

Ookalf and Ryan stormed the base, freeing animals who had been experimented on like Ookalf's mother, destroying their demon army, and eventually killing their leader. After the leader's defeat, one of his few remaining minions activated the bases self-destruct mechanism, hoping to kill the ones who had slain his master. Ryan was able to escape, but the entrance collapsed before Ookalf could follow. Thinking quickly, he found the portal device that Geka had used to summon the demons. Altering the portal's coordinates he drove through the portal on the Howler, hoping that it wouldn't lead to a dimension full of slobbering, ravenous space lemurs.

He landed in MSF, which may and/or may not be worse.

Personality: Ookalf's basically a nice guy, always willing to help someone in need. Reasonably intelligent, although the fact that he's only lived one year as a human means his eduction in certain basic subjects is somewhat lacking.

Equipment:

*Wolf Belt: If you read the backstory, you should already know what this is. But just in case... A magical belt crafted from the remains of Ookalf's mother, the Wolf Belt is the source of Ookalf's powers. When he strikes his henshin pose (arms crossed infront of his chest, palms out, fingers curled) and says "Henshin", the belt summons Ookalf's Rider suit, granting him incredible strength and a variety of special abilities. The belt is also largely immune to TFs and will reform to fit whatever shape Ookalf takes.

*Machine Howler: A motorcycle stolen from a grasshopper-like demon, the Machine Howler is capable of speeds up to 645 km/h and is Ookalf's preferred form of transportation.

*Wolmaster Sword: Originally a simple replica of the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda with no real use, Whatever and Ookalf later modified it to give it a few special abilities. When Ookalf says "Beam On", the sword gains the ability to fire lasers from the blade when swung., which will harm enemies, yet harmlessly disperse against walls and trees and such. To return it to its non laser firing state, Ookalf utters "Beam Off". In keeping with the Zelda inspiraton, the laser won't work if Ookalf is too heavily injured. The sword also gives him the Link Howl ability outlined below.

*The Stick(TM): An ordinary wooden stick that Ookalf always keeps in his back pocket. Useful for poking things.

*The Claws and Feet of the Wolf: A set of gauntlets and boots purchased from Dark Lands Imports which Ookalf wears at all times. In addition to further enhancing Ookalf's strength and speed, these useful pieces of equipment allow him to fire a beam of energy that can be used to ensnare enemies. When in Rider form, Ookalf calls this ability the Wolf Trap.

*Gender-Swap Stick: A pink/blue stick from KabaCorp. When Ookalf holds one end, and someone of the opposite gender holds the other, the two will swap sexes.

*Dimension Mirror: Another toy from KabaCorp. When Ookalf looks into this hand-held mirror, he can transport himself, and anyone he chooses to bring with him, into a sub-dimension where he holds god-like power.

Combat Techniques:

*Wolf Rider Kick: Ookalf leaps into the air and dives toward his opponent in a flying kick. Usually causes the target to explode spectacularly.

*Wolf Rider Punch: Punches the enemy with great force, causing them to explode.

*Wolf Rider Slash: The tips Ookalf's gloves sharpen into points as he claws at the target. Usually non-lethal.

*Wolf Fire Punch: Ookalf punches something, which then spontaneously combusts.

*Wolf Break: Used in conjunction with the Howler. When this technique is used, an energy barrier forms around Ookalf and the Howler, allowing them to burst through walls like they were made of cheap cardboard.

*Wolf Impact: Ookalf punches the ground, creating a shockwve that knocks his enemies off their feet.

*Link Howl: Desperation move granted by the Wolmaster Sword. When Ookalf is heavily wounded, he can use this technique to draw the sword into himself and become a vicious half-wolf woman. Activating this form fully heals Ookalf, and gives her further enhanced strength, as well as shrp teeth and claws. Ookalf isn't fully in control while in Howl mode, attacking with a savage fury rarely seen in his proper state. Fighting in this state uses a lot of energy, and Ookalf will usually fall asleep immediately after the fight.

Name: Circe

Sex: Female

Usual Clothes/Physical Appearance: This.

Age: Vague. Prefers to think of herself as in her early twenties.

Biography: Originally just a minor version of Ookalf from a single thread, Circe was made a universal character by Lian. Circe soon made it her mission in life to turn everyone in Muffinville into her pets/servants, whether they like it or not.

...At least, that was the original idea. In practice, Circe has mellowed out a fair bit since her creation, a nowadays focuses more on running her shop and restaurant than anything actively villainous like conquering a city. The only servants she tends to recruit now are those who have greatly annoyed her, or who actually ask to enter her employ. Pets, she particularly doesn't bother with anymore. And while Circe may protest any claims that she's gone soft or the like, she overall seems fairly content with her current status quo.

Personality: Circe is quick to anger, going into screaming of rampages of TFs when provoked. However, she isn't exactly creative with her TFs, usually resorting to Colored energy blasts.

Update: Thanks to a little mental adventure from Dact, Circe is less prone to fly off the handle when provoked. Pushing her would still be a bad idea, though.

Equipment:

*Green Ring: A ring with a brilliant green gem set in it, which was given to Circe by Lola. It can be used to fire bursts of Green Energy, and to enchant items with Green. Using it causes a small amount of Green to leak into Circe, but not enough to cause noticeable changes unless Circe uses it a lot.

*Touhou Cards: A set of cards given to Circe by Mischa, based on those found in the Touhou Project game series.

*Lightsaber: A gift from Aldonza Karate. Circe's lightsaber can range from one meter to two meters in length, thinning out the longer it gets. It has three base operating modes: Standard, which is about what you'd expect, and has a green blade, Practice, which has far weaker cutting power and is used mainly for training sessions, and which has a blue blade, and the silver-bladed Ultra, which greatly powers the blade up, at the cost of the user's life force. It also has energy conversion functions, allowing it to convert the wielder's defensive shielding into extra attack power, and vice-versa.

*Color Energy Mood Ring: Received as a parting gift for appearing on a talk show, this ring changes color based on Circe's mood, such as Orange for anger, or Violet for happiness. Should any sort of energy be channeled through it, it can fire a blast of whatever Color Energy it was showing at the time.

Special Abilities:

*Shapeshifting: Circe had Jasmine give her this power in a misguided attempt to earn herself some respect from the other villains. There are no limits to the types of forms Circe can assume.

*Laser Eyes!: A gift from Ambush Cat. The power behind them depends on how much force Circe puts into it, from knocking people unconscious to simply warming things up a bit.

*Elemental Boost: Another gift from Ambush Cat. This ability allows Circe to boost the power of any spells or powers of a given element for a brief period, while at the same time blocking off her access to other elements for the effect's duration. As a minor side-effect of this ability, the color of Circe's hair and clothes will change to reflect her current color - red and orange for fire, tan and brown for earth, etc.

And various magic stuff.

Neeaaat! And hopefully he shows up in muffin room sometime soon? I think it'd be interesting for him to explain to one of my werewolf-pack characters why he's wearing a wolf pelt...since killing wolves is generally considered sacrilegious for them. So is blowing up the moon, but that's a bit harder to do.

One other thing: If you wanted to have all that in one post, there's an edit button on all of your own posts. I don't mind, of course, that's just in case you didn't know. :)

Name: Lilly

Sex: Female

Usual Clothes/Physical Appearance: This.

Age: Unknown. Probably early to mid twenties

Mini Biography Type Thing: While exploring the Laugh-A-Minute Dungeon set up by Dact, Santa, who was once an offshoot of Ookalf, somehow entered Hell and became this.

Equipment: Nothing to speak of.

Special Abilities:

*Dark Seduction: Being a succubus, Lilly has the ability to radiate an aura of unearthly attractiveness, making her that much more desirable to any straight men or lesbians nearby.

*Energy Drain: Lilly can drain the life energy from her targets with a kiss, leaving them incredibly unable to do much but collapse. With men, she also has the ability to drain masculine energy, transforming them into more succubi under command.

*Demonic Casting: Lilly can use the energy she drains from her victims to cast a variety of demonic magic. However, due to her relative youth and inexperience, this ability is as yet undeveloped.

---

Name: Yuriko

Gender: Female

Appearance: http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=pos ... &id=744056

Age: Ambiguous

Bio: A form taken by Lilly after winning big at the Wu Xing Casino. While she retains most of her memories of her past forms, she has picked up some new powers and some minor shifts in personality. As she's no longer a succubus, Yuriko no longer seeks out the attention of men in quite the same way she once did, though she won't necessarily say "no" if one happens to come onto her...

Special Abilities:

* Potion Making: Yuriko is now skilled at making potions and elixirs of all sorts.

* Shapeshifting: Yuriko's powers allow her to take on a number of shapes not her own.

* Flame Manipulation: Yuriko has the ability to summon and command flames both large and small to do her bidding.

* Plant Manipulation: Yuriko can control any plants around her, making them grow and move as she sees fit.

* Object Transformation: Yuriko can induce transformations in people by making them wear or interact with objects related to the end form, such as maid headdresses or bunny ears.

Name: Yoko Ookalf

Sex: Female... sorta

Usual Clothes/Physical Appearance: Varies, but usually resembles this.

Age: Technically 5

Mini Biography Type Thing: A golem commissioned by Ookalf at Dark Lands Imports.

Personality: Yoko's usually pretty laidback and relaxed, preferring to settle down with a good book than get into a fight. She sees Ookalf as being her dad/mom, always referring to Ookalf as such and adopting his name as her last name.

Equipment:

*Lightning Claws: A pair of claw-tipped yellow and white gloves given to Yoko by Ambush Cat. As the name implies, Each swipe packs an electrical charge, which the gloves' thick padding protects the wearer against.

Abilities:

*Shapeshifting: Yoko has the ability to take any form roughly the same size as her own. She can also use this to form her arms into weapons.

*Energy Absorption: Yoko can absorb any form of energy and either reflect it an attack or use it to charge her internal batteries. This absorption can also be used against Color Energies.

*Fire Breath: Pretty much what it says on the tin.

*Energy Barriers: Again, pretty much what it says. These barriers run off Yoko's internal power, so prolonged usage may cause her to shut down.

Not too bad. A bit long, but nicely detailed background info. I personally like to make people try to guess at my characters' backgrounds before throwing them out, but that's just me.

Name: Ryan Steinbeck/Kamen Rider Bioj (Generally goes by "Rynna" when female.)

Font: This.

Sex: Male

Usual Clothes: Long-sleeved blue t-shirt with the ltters "HMD" wirtten on the front in white, and jeans.

Physical Appearance: Ryan has green eyes and long-ish brown hair with a few flecks of grey, tied back into a ponytail. As Bioj, he physically resembles an anthropromorphic lion-like creature.

Age: 48

Biography: The son of an average American couple, Ryan's family was forced to moved to Japan early in his life due to his father's work.

Ryan's early life was fairly normal, until one day, shortly after entering college, he was approached by a strange man who claimed to represent an ideological organization known as Geka. He told Ryan that the organization was dedicated to using a combination of magic and highly advanced science to figuratively "conquer the world", and make human society a much better place for all. Ryan, ever the eager young geek, offered to join immediately.

However, Ryan eventually came to regret his decision. He began to saeethat Geka was not the peaceful organization he had been lead to believe it was, and that they were willing to use any means necessary to accomplish their goals. He hid these doubts from all but one individual, one of the Geka projects he had been made to oversee, a wolf magically and scientifically modified to serve as a weapon in their conquest.

During his frequent talks with the wolf, he told her not only of his doubts, but of himself. His life, his dreams, his heroes... Everything. They eventually came to be close friends. One, day Ryan decided. "We have to get out of this."

In a highly complicated plan whose details are irrelevant to this story, Ryan freed several of Geka's experimental soldiers, including the wolf who had inspired him. Though he was never discovered to be the one behind the breakout, Ryan soon left the organization. He spent the next several years traveling the world, hoping to leave his past behind him.

One day, almost twenty years after Ryan left Geka, a distraught young man with no clothes appeared in his living room alongside a wolf's corpse. After Ryan calmed the man down and forced some clothes on him, he was treated to the man's strange tale. He claimed to have been raised by the wolf whose remnants he still carried, and that the wolf had only that morning been slaughtered by a pack of demons. Only then did Ryan recognize the body: it was the wolf he had freed all those years ago.

It was then that the man revealed the wolf's last request: that her remains be made into a belt. Confused, but eager to fulfill his old friend's dying wish, Ryan took the corpse and went to work. He toiled for hours, until at last, the Wolf Belt was complete. He brought it to the man, who then, not knowing what exactly he was doing took the belt and put it on. He then uttered that immortal word, the battle cry of those masked warriors, the Kamen Riders.

"Henshin."

The man was bathed by a mysterious light. When it cleared, the man was revealed to be clothed in a strange suit of armor. It was then that Ryan understood.

This man had been chosen by fate to combat the evils of Geka, which, as the pair would soon discover, was finally prepared to begin their conquest. Ryan dubbed the man, "Kamen Rider Ookalf."

Many weeks passed, during which Ookalf, with some guidance from Ryan, learned the ways of humanity and began his role as a hero. But one day, Ryan was captured by Geka.

They conducted cruel experiments on his body and mind, turning him into their newest and greatest soldier: Kamen Rider Bioj. While under Geka's influence, Ryan and Ookalf had many battles. Eventually, Ookalf uncovered a way to free Ryan from Geka's control, and the two were once again united as friends.

Several months went by, and eventually, the two discovered the location of Geka's new HQ.

They stormed the headquarters, slew Geka's demon soldiers, and defeated their leader. However, once the Geka leader was defeated, the base started to collapse. Although Ryan was able to escape, Ookalf was trapped inside.

When Ryan later came back to the ruins of the building to investigate, he came across the dimensional portal device Geka had used to summon their demons. When he found no sign of Ookalf's corpse, Ryan decided Ookalf must have escaped through a portal. He has spent the last several months trying to discover the workings of the machine, and use it to track down Ookalf.

His work is almost finished...

Personality: Ryan's kind of a big geek. Name a TV show or videogame, and he probably knows quite a bit about it. He's also something of a pervert, though he tries not to be open about it.

Equipment:

*Biobrace: A mechanical wristband worn on Ryan's right arm. When Ryan inserts a vial of "Biojuice" into a panel on its underside he is injected with the contents, initiating his transformation into Kamen Rider Bioj. When this is done, a voice from the brace announces "Bio In!". To transform back into his human form, Ryan uses another vial, this one filled with a substance he calls "Human Essence". This ellicits a cry of "Hum In!" from the Biobrace. Although it is immune to most transformations, the Biobrace only works properly when Ryan is in his original form. If Ryan were to attempt in inject himself with the Biojuice while TF'd, he would be subject to immense pain, at least until someone injects him with some Human Essence.

*Machine Bioter: Ryan's motorcycle. Top speed is 532km/h

*Dual Dragon Axe: A two-handed axe bought from Dact, the DDA's blades can erupt into flame with a thought. Ryan doesn't actually carry the axe, instead summoning it by yelling its name while Bioj.

Combat Techniques: Collectively reffered to as "Bio Breaks", these techniques are activate when Ryan inserts a liquid of "Finaliquid" into the Biobrace, illiciting a cry of "Final In!" from the machine.

*Bio Break 1 - Bio Kick: Bioj delivers a dropkick to the opponent, typically causing an explosion on contact. Can be used in conjunction with Ookalf's Wolf Rider Kick for a "Double Beast Kick".

*Bio Break 2 - Bio Punch: Bioj punches the target stupidly hard, creating an explosion on impact.

(Notice: Now that Circe's regained her original form, Medea's form and powers are on loan to Lost.)

Name: Magical Maid Medea

Sex: Female

Appearance: This.

Age: Twenty-ish

Bio: During an attempt to get Kolonel Kaplice to leave her alone, Circe turned to Alexis for help in gaining a new form to disguise herself. This was the result.

Personality: Pretty much the same as Circe.

Equipment:

*Wand: A wand used in Medea's spells. Not much to say about it.

Abilities: Medea has the ability to spells of various types, mostly transformative. These spells require flowery magical girl-like names to be given to them before use, most of which are made up on the spot. As such, they won't be listed. Oh, and...

Laser Eyes!: A gift from Ambush Cat. The power behind them depends on how much force Medea puts into it, from knocking people unconscious to simply warming things up a bit.

Not too bad, I think. I think Circe needs a better bio, and maybe a personality.

Well, she's just a TF'd Ookalf who split into a separate character, so there's not really much to say about her. And I'll think about adding a personality section to the bios.

*5-5-5-Enter* Standing by.

Update!

Complete.

Added a personality section to the profiles, as well as a few other things here and there. Comments welcomed, especially on Circe. I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with her bio yet.

Is someone seriously writing an OP?

Thanks. Now, onto what's changed since my last post...

* Ookalf gained some actual functionality for his sword and, with it, a new power.

* Circe gained a new bit of equipment, as well as a new ability.

* Due to... interesting circumstances in the Muffin Room, Santa received a complete overhaul. A personality section for Lilly will hopefully be coming soon, once I've had time to properly develop her.

* That golem Ookalf's been trying to get from Dark Lands Imports has finally been completed, and introduced as Yoko.

I take it this means there isn't an OP?
