Obligitory introductions

I've been following these boards for quite some time and I can't help the urge to jump in anymore.

Can anyone explain how to go about RPing here? I've been searching the site and I can't seem to find a beginner's guide for players

^__^ Welcome to the forums! I'm glad that you decided to take the pluuunge~!

And as far as RPing goes, there are no hard and fast rules per se generally, (although there are a few RPS from time to time that may establish some if the creator feels like doing such a thing), but here's a few facts that might help you along...<3

Generally, roleplaying hereabouts takes place in either the Freeform or Regular Roleplaying rooms, (the difference between them being relatively minor nowadays, if anything at all), where various RPs are maintained by their respective authors generally, and the Muffin Room, which is a setting (The Muffin Continent) in which many surreal, and often impossible things happen--and unlike the RP rooms, the characters there will generally persist thread to thread, giving the place a continuity, of sorts~~^_^

If you want to join RPs in the RP rooms, then generally you can just ask to see if an ongoing RP has room for more players, or jump in when one is starting.
With the Muffin Room, due to the nature of it, it may help a little bit if you take a looksie at The Muffinian Codex for a description of some of the common energies and a areas to get a feel for the place--but it is also possible to just jump however you like (make a topic of your character wandering into the place, just posting in an interesting looking topic, whatever you like), and things will become clearer as time goes on.

^^ And as far as the roleplaying itself goes...well, pretty much anything goes. As long as one is OOCly courteous, and avoids god-moding and such (that is to say, not giving someone a chance to dodge/resist something, being generally unbeatable and such yourself, etc.), you can generally create and play with any character that you like as long as it stays within the boundaries of PG-13.~~Of course, for the RP rooms, there may be more specific restrictions depending on setting.

I hope that heeeeeelps...but if you still have qquestions, I would be delighted to answer them. <3

*Dracos appears, handing Bigs a flashlight with a design at the end*

Here you go, one Dracos signal! Just point it in the air if you ever need help, anywhere in the Muffinroom, and I may or may not show up to lend aid which is of questionable benefit.

*Dracos nods enthusiastically*

Ooh, you've got some squishy brains! I could take a good nap here...

Oh, and welcome and all that. You may have already met my offspring of sorts over in Muffinville.

Have fun, and don't eat any cookies offered to you at random. They usually start fights with whatever else you've already eaten.
Like that ostrich.

wow....lots of randomness, hahaha

Really feeling welcomed by all the responses here. This has to be the friendliest place I've ever been a newb at.

I have lurked, Los, haha. It's been good reading, and I was just ready to join in.

Thanks Dracos, for the invitation. If I need help with anything, I'll be sure to hit you up.

And Caprahina, you've been a huge help to be thus far. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Wouldn't happen to be Muffin fruit by any chance, would they?

What's a muffin fruit? These are simply checherries, cocomelons, lemes, grapeaches and tomapples. You should try the tomapples. Caprice, err, Caprihina loves people who try them.

Sure, why not. *eats one with a leme*

The leme tastes like a lemon/lime combo. It's pleasantly sour, but not excessive. As he eats it, his body feels tingly, especially his chest and his scalp. It's very tasty, he feels like he should finish it.

((Ouch. Well, here we go...))

A sudden rush of strange energy washes over him. His whole body tingles now and with a widening of hips, a sudden explosion of bust and various other sundry changes, he becomes a she. Her mind rapidly fills up with thoughts of flowers and sunshine and cuteness... and little else, leaving her an empty-headed ditz. Well, except for boys. She still likes boys lots and lots and wants to glomp and cuddle them.
