A CURE FOR CANCER!

Cancer

It sounds almost too good to be true: a cheap and simple drug that kills almost all cancers by switching off their “immortalityâ€

That sound quite good to hear. ^_^

It's sounds quite solid and cheap which is good.

Hopefully this new strategy will work. I guess time will tell now....

If it does work, someone will patent it and, perhaps, sell it at a price that fits with other cancer treatments, on the grounds that it is a cancer treatment, likely making it cost a bundle...

Patents don't work like that, FORTUNATELY, at least I'm pretty positive that they don't. Since it's an open source drug anyone who tries to forcefully patent it is asking for some seriously bad press and massive trouble from the people of this nation.

Invention patents can't work that way, but I'm fairly positive those kind of tricks don't apply here.

Evangelos Michelakis is the only one who could patent it. If anyone else tried to, he could sue them big time. It's his discovery. And, he's in, you know, Canada, which means laws would be international.

Now, the FDA being iffy about it is quite possible. Still, if this works, he's done what every scientist has wanted to do for decades. He's found the cure for cancer!

He's found more than that! *prays that it works* He's found a critical component in the study of immortality and why cells live and die!

Which begs a poll room question... how long could you live as an immortal without going bat**** insane or getting bored enough to actually want to be mortal enough to die (or suicide)?

But that's an aside...

...I'm just glad this is happening, and the pharmecutical companies can't really get a cut. I told my mother and she immediately said, with no cue on my part, and in kind of an angry voice "GOOD!"

Well, I just don't find it impossible, is what I'm saying. I know we've all seen evidence of something happening that shouldn't have happened, and how there are moneymongering people out there who will make attempts... With potential successes. I just hope there's enough preventative factors to make sure the medicine is reasonably priced.

Well if something is bothering you enough to think it's cancer, it's enough to see a doctor of some sort. If you lack medical insurance check into government programs for subsidies, who knows, you might fall under something that you may get some assistance, otherwise look into charities. Don't let it go unexamined, that's a fatal idea.
