New MSF Website?

It's been quite a while since I posted here, but I'd like to fulfill an old obligation and see about getting the main site back up. So I'm starting a brainstorming session here; what do you think of when you think of MSF? What colors do you think would work well here? Themes? Etc?

My first thought is to use Sakura Pink, but I don't think the whole site should be like that. It would be an eyesore @_@

In the old days, most of my designs used blue and purple (see https://nixaff4.deviantart.com/art/MSF- ... n-18623080 for an example), but I don't know how well that would work...

Anyway, I want to here what people here think! Let me know!

Edit: Some color combinations to play with:

It's been a day and an age since I've actually seen the main site and not just the forums, so I'm not entirely certain. Pretty sure that was before my time, and that's saying something. :|

Looking at the color combos, I like the second, third, and fifth. The second combination especially, for fairly obvious reasons. :)

I do remember the old look you mentioned, and I honestly still think it looks fine. Maybe that's just me liking familiarity, though... Aside from that, those other color selections do all seem nice. I'd probably need to see them in use before I could form a strong opinion... Sorry if that's not very helpful.

So I was thinking about using something like this for the layout of the new site: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code ... RzjjNQskFV

I know it's kind of crude; it'll look much better when I figure out the graphics.

BTW, I think I'm going to go with a theme that combined the sakura trees with some kind of fabric (to represent that the seifuku is an article of clothing). I have some ideas for the logo, but I don't know if I'm good enough to do them...

Nice, web design is something I'm actually going to school for so I find this stuff really interesting.

Interesting fact: I was actually going to school for this while I was doing the designs and such for the site here back in 2005. I actually got my college degree in Computer Programming in 2008 and have been working since... Well, until 2015 when I lost my job and haven't been able to get another one, sadly

Another update. I've been working on this on and off (keep getting stuck on the appearance, 'cause graphics aren't my thing). Anyway, I made this for the new header:

Looking for opinions ^^

Hmm... well, it's certainly MSF-like, I suppose. :?

I've been out of touch for a few months (finally got a new job, yay!), but I did want to update everyone on this:

Yeah, the site actually has a domain again. I couldn't get the original domain, sadly, as it's still owned. So I bought one I could get.
