Slightly annoyed that we didn't get a drop from Irene. Otherwise, largely don't care, since we'd be ready to hunker down if need be. Storms are fun. :D

It's been pouring off and on here all day, and the wind's kinda strong, and the storm's not even actually here yet. So, I'm kinda preparing for the idea of being without power for a bit.

All a matter of opinion; quite frankly, storms (and especially tornadoes) make me very nervous. I'm happy that I'm as far west from the Atlantic coast as I can get without going into the Rockies.

I'm chasing it...darn, missed it by a day and a half. Now I gave no excuse for why my freight delivery will be late...^_~

It's funny you mention that, cause I was listening to the radio about people who weren't bothered by the rain, but then apparently went into a frenzy at the tornado warning. Down here, that'd earn a shrug, and maybe more attention being paid to the weather to track it's movement, but otherwise, yeah. Storms, tornadoes, and the like don't concern us here. All a matter of upbringing, I guess.

I suppose you're right. I was raised in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and oddly the worst of the weather in the area would go around us most of the time. Natural disasters, like tornadoes and snowstorms, were few and far between.

Moving to a part of the country where you were more likely to hear about those things happening was rather distressing to me, as you can probably imagine. The Greensburg tornado hit about a month later, and this did not help my mood any.
