Seems I need a new avatar, help needed

Postby the unbalanced one » Sat May 22, 2010 1:09 am

Not for the picture, I'll have one sooner or later but I would like a refresher on how to resize it properly and such. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is misplaced or anything.

I use Paint. Just select the area you want to be the avatar, hit Crop, right-click the picture and hit "resize", change the tab from "percent" to "pixels" and set the largest number to 150 (the largest dimention the site allows).

Then save it (making sure to remember the hight and width) and upload it to the site, put in the dimentions in the little boxes down below, and his "submit".

And there you go.

And if that doesn't work out, ask someone if they can make an avatar out of the image. I'm sure there's someone around here who'd be willing to do that...~

^^ There's a nice little guide here that might help you.

For resizing myself though, I use MS paint for the cropping, and then http://www.irfanview.com/ to make sure that it's the right size (Somewhere in 150x150).
