Whether by nature or by God, make a species the master of their domain and that power will eventually, perhaps inevitably, come back to destroy them. In much the same way as explosions can create vacuums at their source.

You know, this reminds me of something. Something where a government tried to completely suppress the population's sex drive to the point they only view sex as a way to reproduce rather then recreation. Now what was that?

The prison system is big bucks, and rather corrupt. The justice system is probably one of the worst run government institutions. If only our countries were governed by some sort of system where the people had the power to choose what they wanted for their country, as opposed to choosing which stuffy old bald guy they want to stare at for the next four years.

Wow... makes me glad I was a sexually repressed nerd through my adolescence.

The sad thing is, without raising a great deal of public awareness of this problem... its not going away. We need those same hordes of great unwashed to be convinced the laws they were scared into demanding for to be scared to demand for them to be taken away.

Democracy... gotta love it.

Yeah, I'll admit our justice system is completly fragged. But I just can't get over all the obvious biases there are.Still a good read.
