Has this ever happened to you?

I've been a MSF regular for three years now. Used to be a decent presence on the forums.
Then I discovered IRC...and ever since, my forum account has been dying of starvation.
Seriously--Caprice told me that I only had 38 posts left on here, after the "pruning."
Anyway, as you can tell by the topic...I was wondering if there's any fellow IRC regulars who've done this.

At times, yes.
But generally, I've been fairly active on both the forums and IRC for years now- it's just a balancing act you have to play a bit, because they can be their own beasts in numerous ways. :O
They each have their own quirks as well, which may not appeal to everyone.

Well, it hasn't happened to meee--but I've only been IRCing for a li'l bit, not counting the one time I popped in back around when I joined the forums in 2006...~~
I think you're probably not alone though--IRC and forum folk dun overlap as much as one would thiiink, in my experience.

I can't keep track of everything and everyone in IRC, because I can't be on 24/7, so I never had much interest in it beyond the occasional visit. I stick to the forums because I can keep track of everything and everyone a lot easier, without having to be around 24/7, or being on at the same time as other individuals. I prefer the rapport and ability to interact with anyone at any time that happens here.

most of my posts are in places that won't get pruned, so I pretty much stay around 1700 after every prune :D

Yep, but now that IRC won't work for me at Auburn, I'm having improvise by being more active on the forums in exchange. By the time I get back to IRC, some newbie is going to accuse me of being an IRC newbie....again.
At which point, I will des-Sorry, ADD moment.
