What would Borealis do, when he had to suggest a food or two? He'd suggest to eat a polar bear, because that's what Borealis would do.

more spam has poped up and so have a few more bots. any change we can just ban the bots?

That would be nice if only certain bots could browse the place, like search engine bots do (who have a name show up with the visitors despite not having a user account), but the forums recognize them as guest users and I have no idea if they can be recognized for what they are. I assume that's why people come up with things like Captcha, and banning IPs, because forums can't tell a person from a bot unless a bot identifies itself (like I'm assuming the search engine bots do).

I've already suggested going back to having the admins accepting the registrations, but they probably wouldn't be able to check them often enough even if they decided to. It's the best idea that I know of, since there was no spam by bots when I did it, because I wouldn't activate suspicious accounts.

perhaps the duty could be split between a couple of people? Admins only for registration and bot cleansing?
