Bush has shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist.Damn. I was hoping that his last will and testament as a president would be a boot to the head. ;/

Well, yeah, but still. A lot of leaders have threats, many of them common. But Bush is really being shown a lot of disrespect, despite what you can usually expect from someone being in that sort of office.
It's too bad he dodged those shoes, though. It would have been great if he had been caught right in the face and knocked onto his ass.

And then some incredibly unnecessary violence would have popped up as secret service agents mobbed the person, detained them, or something otherwise outrageous.
In the end, it's really better he didn't get hit- since the message was delivered regardless: people don't like him.
