Wow, five years. Pretty impressive Nikkou. If I may ask, how's the state of MSF compared to a year ago? I mean, you're still here, so it must not have deteriorated at least, right?

Personally, I think it has. If I ever had anything better to do, I probably wouldn't check up on MSF anymore. That being said, I'm still not a social person, being that it's only one of two small social venues I have, so... Hate it, love it, I'm still here. Not that anyone cares. I'll just continue to post little notes about the crap I write in the story room. Ha!

I dunno. I'll probably still be around. I'll be getting a new computer in a few days, so it will depend on how much time I'll devote to things that, well, take up time, since I'll have the computing speed I need for a few interests that I have no hope of making any headway with because of my attention span (or lack of it, as it were).

That's one substance I'd rather not come into contact with. What are these good computer-requiring interests of which you speak?

2D/3D games and art, and the like. I like creating stuff, but in this area I've been waiting to really explore it for several years now, since my computers haven't been up to the task. That, and I lack the funds for any good programs. But I'm hoping to get somewhere, now that I have one of the two.

Although I don't see myself getting one of those tablets with the screens any time soon... That'd really help me out, since I'm used to drawing on paper.

You can get a serviceable tablet for $150. It won't be great, but it's easier than a mouse.

I'm trying to break in to game design, actually, but I'm on the conceptualization, mechanics and story end. I'm a bad programmer and worse with visual art. So I hear you with the difficulty of getting a project together.

I have a small tablet already, but, aside from its size, I can't get used to drawing on something and the result appearing elsewhere.

I'm just going to tinker around, and get a feel for it. But I think I have some great ideas and stories, so I may get lucky and find someone who'd want to share the project one day. Oh, how naive and optimistic I am. or something. ;p

Well, I'm not looking to be hired. But I'm hoping to be a part of it, eventually. You know, get noticed. But not for anything video game related... I'm hoping another dream creates a domino effect. How's that for being too optimistic?

I'm hoping that an economics degree will allow me to unlock the secrets of the universe after creating a perfect model for predicting the unemployment rate, allowing me to become a real-life mage of immeasurable power. My fall-back plan is the get a decent-pay job doing whatever...

I just want to invent something that will change the world. So easy, and yet so hard for a poor fella like me. Funny thing is that I could probably do something for economics with it. If I only had the moolah. ;/
