So far Windows Vista isn't all that bad

Postby Coruscate » Sun Feb 04, 2007 7:08 pm

My main complaint is my new computer seems kinda' slow at the moment. Not sure why just yet, I'll find out. As long as I don't get his with spontaneous bouts of sloth while I'm trying to CG I'll be fine.

It's all the bundled spyware that comes with Vista eating up your RAM!

I would be surprised if it REALLY came with spyware...
The application itself(Or OS, whatever you want to call it...) requires a large amount of resources to run...I know at least that much is true.

Meh. I'll keep XP with all my added defenses, thankyouverymuch.

Besides, I'm using a graphics card that can't handle PSO BB, for crying out loud! (Nor Civ 4, for that matter, which makes it worse... <.<)

Do you have to have a new one? Some old ones can get you by at dirt cheep prices! Check out http://www.lowendmac.com to see what one you need. Most likely you can find one for less then $500 on ebay. ^^

Oh, wow! A Mac for UNDER $500? Heavens!

Or, you could, y'know, build a PC yourself for $300 that'll run twice as well and have twice the longevity 'cause you can actually upgrade it on the cheap.

Suit yourself.
