Feeding a fever

Postby Mitera Nikkou » Sat Sep 15, 2007 10:50 pm

Is it true that feeding a fever is the way to go? I was wondering since I have a fever that happened to coincide with having next to nothing to eat. Well, unless you count the booger banquet that I've been having, though despite that my stomach growls onward.

I need to do something about this fever so I can get some sleep. I've only gotten about four hours of sleep in the past three or so days. X_X

Now would be a perfect time to give oil pulling a try, if you've got any kind of oil (outside of canola) to roll with. Olive oil or vegetable oil may be.... well you're bound to have one I would think and it would be better than nothing.

Other than that, and this one HURTS, cayenne pepper. Look up some ways to get that into your system, it'll clean you out fast but it'll hurt going in and out.

The only oil that we have in the house is oregano oil, and supposedly it's for placing a bit beneath the tongue (according to my mother). It didn't help me any.

I've decided to try this oil-pulling stuff out, but I can't do anything until we have the money for it. I'm not sure it'll be possible any time soon since my sister was an idiot and more or less pressured my mother to get her a new car. Which comes out of my SSI. She claims that she'll be getting a job but that's unlikely around here. So I'm down to about forty bucks a months and that's not counting the occasional need (like now) to stack up on food, so... Yeah. I'm going to see about selling some of my stuff so I can at least fund the prize monies for the contests. ;/

I don't think we have cayenne pepper, either. Jalapeno, however, we have in both powder and vegetable form (which is from our small garden).

Ah, well... At least a fever makes me feel wide awake all of the time despite the length of time that I'm awake. Sleeping usually seems to set my health back a bit, anyway. I'm just bummed because I've been having awesome dreams lately (that fortunately have nothing to do with food).

Oregano oil is excellent. It's an anti-oxidant that helps you clean up your blood. If you're running a high fever, take 1-3 drops 1-3 times a day. It should help speed your recovery, but it's not an immediate effect kind of thing.

Jalapeno powder? Not sure about that one, look it up.
