Going to level with you, I don't have much of a life beyond blowing things up. *tries to think for a few moments before her face seems to light up* Occasionally I'll wander into casinos and rig slot machines, or fix them if they were already rigged. *smirks* Those are always good for a laugh.

So basically, you just do the opposite of whatever they are to mess with people? ...Well, I guess if that works for you. *Sassafras shrugs.* Anything else going on with you?

*smirk broadens a little* Actually, yes: got me a little familiar of sorts shortly before I got this invite. *reaches out of view* C'mere, Fungo.

*Ivankov pulls out an oddly-colored ferret and places it in front of her. Aside from being a dark brown, it has two distinctive stripes of cyan and gold on the back of its head.*

Oh, how cute! *Sassafras leans in to get a closer look at the ferret.* Can I pet 'em?

*The ferret gives Sassafras's nose a nip when it gets too close.*

---get too... close to... *facepalms* ...its face. Fungo girl, settle! She's friendly!

*'Fungo' chitters a reply, sounding chastised and... a bit apologetic?*

No no, it's OK! I get it! *Sassafras addresses Fungo again, keeping a bit more distance this time.* Sorry if I startled you, Fungo. I know big people can be pretty scary sometimes... Are you OK?

*Fungo trills and chitters in reply, then leans against Ivankov's hand when she goes to pet her.*

Thinkin' she'll be fine. She just has a tendency to bite when she's spooked. Doesn't help that she used to be a human criminal, so she's still a bit wary of people other than me.

[Ookalf]

Oh... Huh. *Sassafras eyes Fungo nervously.* I'm a little curious, but I'm also a little scared to ask...

Heh heh. From what a cop told me, she used to be this greedy nerd that was neck-deep in hypnosis. She'd managed to deceive herself into thinking she was the Dark Magician Girl, magic attacks, ridiculous outfit and all. Instead of using it for cosplaying at conventions and such, she decided to go on a crime spree instead and try to start her own gang, and did reasonably well on that front since she stayed out of areas that Muffinville's more dangerous names tended to frequent.

But given this place's normal hijinks, that didn't take long to change. She got caught in the crossfire of a scuffle between the Brotherhood and the Forces of Nature... ended with the latter turning her into a ferret, and the former selling her to a pet shop for easy money. Her gang more or less abandoned her on the spot.

That sounds terrible! I mean, in all kinds of ways... Is she still like that now?

I should hope not. Kinda hard when the source of her hypnosis is subjected to a healthy dose of C4.

She could probably become the DMG again given enough time, but not until after she lets go of her delusions. That's what that rep from the Forces of Nature told me, anyway. If I'm looking at that right, she's not going to be her original nerdy self again.

[Ookalf]

Oh... *Sassafras seems a little unsure how to take this information, but in the end she smiles and nods.* Well, however she ends up, I hope she's happy. Er, y'know?

*Fungo scoots over to the edge of the booth nearest to Sassafras, chitters something at her, then jumps onto her shoulder and brushes against her temple.*

Thinking she will be. There's something to be said for the simple life, горничная. *holds out her hand, signalling Fungo to jump back over* And it helps that there are worse ways to live than as a housepet.

[Ookalf]

Yeah, I guess so! *Sassafras giggles, then takes a look around.* Well, it's been nice getting to know you, but I feel like I should go see some of the other people now... That's OK, right?

*cheerfully waves good-bye* Sure, nothing's stopping ya. Paka, good-bye, and all that. Remember not to play with matches!

*Fungo shakes her head and facepaws.*
