"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....my bad." Nate said, feeling sheepish. He looks a bit surprised at Whyte's question that follows. "Well, I...I can't say I haven't thought about it before. Why do you ask?"

*Swift shifts to her humanoid form and turns to face Nate, crushing the Poké Ball behind her with a Psychic burst without looking. There's a jeweled cord around her neck, but whatever it is that's attached to it is hidden from view.*

*For now, she seems content to let Whyte do the talking.*

"Let's see..." Whyte gets the bag she's had on her this whole time (the author sort of forgot to describe what she was wearing at any point in this thread: It's a pair of demin shorts and a T-shirt with a pokeball silhouette behind the letters "P.F.L" in what seems to be some kind of logo, and also the aforementioned bag), and digs around in it. "I thought so...still have one of these from the Bluepocalpyse." She pulls out a small ziplock bag with a faintly glowing berry in it. "This is what's called a Poke-berry," she says. "The PFL--Pokemorph Fighting League, who I work for--give them to people who want to participate but don't already have a part pokemon form. Eating this turns you into a new form like that and gives you the power to switch back and forth at will. The new form's abilities are based roughly on how powerful you already are, and experience gain kinda goes both ways. You want to see what kind you are?" She waves the bag up and down slightly, preparing to throw it underhand at him if he says yes.

"Well I..." Nate hesitates for a moment. "...sure, why not? I guess it can't hurt..."

Whyte tosses the bag to him. "Now, don't attack people or stuff in the park. I've got a friend who can let you into one of our sparring gyms to beat up a training dummy or spar with someone in a safe environment if you want. You get hurt in there and the ring itself will heal you back up, 'kay? The real world doesn't have that convenience." She gets out her phone and sends a couple of texts to said friend while Nate does whatever he does.

Nate catches the bag, nodding as Whyte explains things about the gym and not attacking people. He takes out the Poke-berry and looks at it for a moment, feeling a bit nervous about eating it. He takes a breath and eats it.

"So...how long before the changes happen?"

The berry tastes like sweet, sugary candy. "Uh..." Whyte sweatdrops slightly. "They already started."

Indeed, Nate's started shrinking already...lots of shrinking. His hair fluffs out to just above the shoulders, turning a brilliant pink, his ears pull themselves up into tall traingles of fur (also pink), and his frame shrinks and slims down to a small, girlish one. His clothes turn into a yellow/pink-patterened blouse-skirt combo, a separate pink collar, some pink gloves and yellow stockings. With a slight tug between the legs, he turns into a girl, and with a slight push a tail with a thin yellow stalk and a thick pink end characteristic of a Skitty appears from her back. Her chest puffs out very slightly under the blouse, leaving Nate looking adorable. She doesn't feel much stronger, but now has all the moves and powers of a level 10 Skitty with Cute Charm.

"Hm...I hope that Callista lady won't be upset about this," Whyte mutters to herself.

*Swift chuckles at Whyte's muttered comment, but otherwise says nothing.*

Nate looked down at his...herself. She honestly hadn't expected to become a Skitty, or a girl for that matter. She blushes as she looked behind her and twitched her new tail experimentally. "This feels so strange..."

Her ears perk up as Whyte mentions someone being upset. "U-Upset?" Nate is surprised by her own voice, it sounds so different. "Why would this person be upset?"

*Swift's chuckles turn into full-blown laughter, forcing her to lean on Whyte's shoulder for support as she tries to rein in her mirth.*

"Oh, well, she's a Delcatty-person. I mean, there are lots of those but the last person I know of who she was mad at wound up waist-deep in pavement," says Whyte. By now Swift might be in on the fact that she's not entirely over having a pokeball thrown at her.

"So what...she doesn't like Skittys or something?" Nate fidgetted.

"I don't know, I've barely met her," Whyte shrugs. "I was just concerned if she'd be upset there's another of roughly the same species around now."

"Well that's...that's not my fault! If anything she should be happy to have another one of her k-kin around!" Nate was more than a bit nervous now, and possibly terrified at the idea of winding up waist-deep in pavement. That sounded p-painful!

Swift: *laughter finally dying down* Eh-ha-ha-ha-ha... ehhh... Callista's rather... "territorial" on that score, you get what I'm saying?

*Swift discreetly winks in Whyte's general direction, letting her know she's playing along.*
