This one at least does noticeable damage, though it's still not all that much. Maybe it's just a really sturdy dummy?

Now she was mad, all that effort and that's all she was able to do? The dummy was mocking her, she knew it!

Natalie growled at the dummy, though it sounded more adorable than intimidating. That does it! She charged at it and started smacking the dummy around wildy, taking out her frustration on the poor, inanimate object as she recklessly wailed on it.

This attack...well, it does a little better damage at least. Velcy finally takes notice of her antics thanks to the growling and watches it. "Nah, look...Natalie..." She shakes her head. "You're Skitty. Cuteness is your strength, not...strength-strength. I'd guess your level ain't all that high yet since ya just started, but that'll grow with time. And ya shouldn't be upset if the dummy doesn't break to your attacks. Those things're made to take a Roar of Time an' not fall apart."

Natalie freezes in place as she hears Velcy, before falling backwards and landing on her butt. She pants a little as she processes the new information.

"Okay but...what good is cuteness against a training dummy? I can't make it fall in love with me! Can I?"

Dact watches the skitty girl curiously. "I guess a lot of my own natural strength transferred to this form as well. I don't really feel weaker than I did..."

"They're made to react to all moves the same way a real opponent would. Your tail whip worked fine, right?" says the Mightyena-girl. She glances at the console on the side of the ring. "Looks like you infatuated it, too--your ability's prolly Cute Charm. If you were fightin' someone who fought back, they might have trouble focusin' on the fight by now, if ya know what I mean."
Then, turning back to Dact: "Right. It goes both ways--strong people become strong pokemorphs, and leveling up in that form will make you stronger in your original one."

"Ooooooooh..." Well, that changed things a bit. Feeling a bit more motivated, Natalie got up and started to hum some sort of lullaby, performing sing. After that was done, she approached the dummy innocently, before performing a sucker punch.

The damage from this attack combination is noticeable; it won't break it anytime soon, but it seems like an improvement. "Yeah, that's the idea," says Velcy, nodding. "I'd say you'll get a lot better with a few real fights. If we can just find you an opponent about the same level..."

"Oh really... training like this will make my other self stronger? Well... that's certainly a nice benefit." She says, watching Natalie hum and wiggle and flail. "Erm... I feel like I'd be a bad match for her, though..."

Natalie wailed on the dummy for a while, but after a few minutes she started to get bored (and a little tired) and climbed up on top of the dummy, sitting on top of its 'head'.

"Yeah, I wouldn't mind a real opponent now, or at least something that will try to hit me back. Nyaaa..." Her tail swayed back and forth.

"Oh, a' course not," Velcy nods. "You or me'd just squish the poor girl at 'er level right now. I'm just tryin' ta think of a way to find a good opponent 'round here just now.." She goes out to the hallway, her ears twitching as she glances around, apparently listening to the people in the other arenas in an effort to find a good candidate.
